Today, many believe that the scientific community has the best explanation for the function and purpose of the universe, planet Earth, and life. Critics believe that science has proven that the biblical world view is wrong. For the past 150 years, skeptics have attack and criticized the Holy Scriptures as being unscientific Hebrew mythology written only to teach lessons about the human condition and God’s purpose for humanity. While the purpose of the Holy Bible is not to teach men and women science, when it mentions things related to the natural world, it has always been proven accurate. If the Holy Bible appears wrong on scientific issues, this apparent disagreement results from the scientific community not catching up with biblical revelation. Furthermore, the bible employs the language of visual appearance, but never the language of precise scientific description. With that said, analysis of the Holy Scriptures reveals many correct scientific observations that were written prior to our modern scientific age, according to some biblical scholars and science researchers.
THE BIBLE DECLARE ORIGINS
The Holy Scriptures declare the universe had a beginning, according to Genesis 1:1-5, John 1:1-5, and elsewhere in God’s word. This powerful declaration has been confirmed by Dr. Albert Einstein’s general relativity theory and Edwin Hubble’s astronomical observations. The scientific community determined through Albert Einstein’s general relativity theory that the universe had a beginning. A few scientists assess that an unknown super-being or super-force was responsible for the universe’s beginning. This entity would have to exist outside of the universe in order to create space, time, and matter.
When Dr. Einstein’s general relativity theory was applied to mass and energy, he came up with the famous E=MC2 equation (E refers to Energy and M refers to Mass and C refers to Light). Astrophysicists, Stephen Hawking, George Ellis, and Roger Penrose, decided to apply the theory to space and time, during the late 1960s and early 1970s. However, what was absent during that time was the overpowering data proofing that the universe was governed according to Einstein’s theory. Astrophysicists and mathematicians were only able to confirm it to one percent precision. Later, a NASA rocket equipped with advanced precision technology confirmed to within one one-thousandth of a percent that the universe did conform to Einstein’s general relativity theory. With this confirmation, it was concluded that mass, energy, space, and time, which makes up the physical universe, have a finite beginning. Therefore, many researchers concluded that the super-being or super-force that was responsible for the creation of the universe exists outside the universe and outside of time. This discovery confirms 2nd Timothy 1:9 and Titus 1:2 because the passages inform believers that the promises we now have in Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus) were provided “before the beginning of time.”
Dr. Edwin Hubble was American astronomer who discovered the red shift of moving galaxies and he developed the conceptualization for an expanding universe because his observations indicated that the universe’s galaxies were moving away from each other. If astronomers could travel into the past, they would see that the galaxies were closer together; therefore, they have concluded that the universe must have had a finite beginning. Dr. Hubble first observed that galaxies receding from themselves at a rate proportional to their distance from themselves. The constant of proportionality, called the Hubble constant, tells astronomers the age of the universe based on their assumption that the expansion rate of the galaxies remained unchanged. Dr. Hubble’s scientific observations confirm the biblical declaration that the universe had a beginning.
The Bible says in Genesis 1:1-2: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters (NKJV).” The Bible and Science describe the physical universe in five terms: time, space, matter, power, and motion, according to Dr. Henry Morris. In other words, “In the beginning (time) God created (power) the heavens (space) and the Earth (matter)…And the Spirit of God was hovering (motion) over the face of the waters.”
THE HOLY BIBLE SHOWS THE NUMBER OF STARS IN SPACE
The Holy Bible reveals that there are billions of stars decorating the universe. When it made this statement, many people never knew the vastness of the numbers of stars in the cosmos. Many people believe that there were only a few hundred or a few thousand stars in outer-space. Now astronomers know that there are billions of stars, and that they cannot be numbered. Jeremiah 33:22 says: “As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured.” This passage confirms the scientific accuracy of the Holy Bible because the words host of heaven refers to stars in outer-space, according to Dr. Chuck Missler.
THE HOLY BIBLE REVEALS THE LAW OF GRAVITY
The Holy Bible reveals that the planet Earth freely floated in outer-space. Many people back then believed that the Earth was flat and it existed on a large animal or on one of their pagan gods. Astronomers now know that the planet Earth is spherical and it has a free float in space because of gravity. Galileo Galilei disproved Aristotle’s idea that heavier objects fall faster than lighter objects. Galileo determine that falling objects accelerate at the same rate, irrespective of their mass. Isaac Newton later proposed an attractive force between Earth and other objects that acted between the sun and the planets. Newton realized that because of gravitational attraction, the moon was continually falling toward Earth; however, its acceleration in orbit formed a balance. Because of these attractions between bodies, Newton developed the law of universal gravitation, which explains why the Earth floats in space. This scientific fact confirms the Holy Bible. Job 7:26 says: “He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing.”
While gravity is a property of every object with mass, it is a not force that constitutes “physical existence” within the materialistic meaning of the words. Gravity is not something we can single out and place inside any container like we can with solids, liquids, and gasses. Gravity is simply a force that naturally exists inside every object of mass; therefore, the biblical writers refer to it as nothing because the bible employs the language of visual appearance rather the language of precise scientific description.
THE HOLY BIBLE REVEALS THE EARTH’S SHAPE
The Bible reveals that the Earth has a round spherical shape. Isaiah 40:22 says: “It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth.” The world circle refers to a sphere and not a flat circular disc shape, according to Dr. Chuck Missler and Dr. Gerald Schroeder. This biblical passage was written during an age when many people believed that the Earth was flat. While Aristarchus (250 BC) and Aristotle (340 BC) knew the Earth was round, the biblical prophet Isaiah (700 BC) declares the Earth’s round shape centuries before the Greeks. When many Europeans believed that the Earth was flat, it was the Holy Scriptures that inspired Christopher Columbus (AD 1492) to sail around the world without any fear of falling off the edge of the Earth.

The Holy Bible reveals that all creation is made of invisible material. Many people before the scientific age were ignorant of this subject. Astrophysicists now know that the entire creation is made of invisible elements called “atoms.” They know that an atom has a positively charged nucleus that makes up over 99 percent of the atom’s mass yet only about 1/100,000 of its volume. The nucleus is composed of positively charged protons and electrically neutral neutrons, everyone about 2,000 times as massive as an electron. The atom’s volume consists of a cloud of electrons that have very small mass and negative charge. The electron cloud is bound to the nucleus by the attraction of opposite charges. Within a neutral atom, the protons in the nucleus are balanced by the electrons. An atom that has gained or lost electrons becomes negatively or positively charged and it is called an ion. No human being can observe an atom with their natural eyes, without specially designed electron microscopes. This scientific fact confirms the Holy Bible. Hebrews 11:3 says: “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
THE HOLY BIBLE REVEALS THE SOURCE OF LIFE
The Holy Scriptures declare that blood is the source of life in Leviticus 17:11. For many years, many sick people were “bled” to death throughout Europe. Many died because of this dangerous medical practice. Doctors now know that blood is the source of life. If we lose our blood, we will lose our life.
THE BIBLE REVEALS THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMAN HYGIENE
The Holy Bible reveals that when dealing with disease, hands should be washed under running water. Up until 100 years ago doctors washed their hands in a washbowl of still water, resulting in many deaths. Microbiologists now know that doctors must wash their hands under running water. A young doctor in Vienna named Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis was disturbed about the women’s awful death rate because the ladies were dying subsequent to giving birth in hospitals. The Doctor noted that doctors would examine the dead women’s bodies, then they would go straight to the next group of expecting mothers without washing their hands before examination. This was their normal practice, because they lack the knowledge of microscopic diseases during that time. Doctor Semmelweis insisted that doctors wash their hands before examinations, and the death rate dropped immediately, according to Dr. Grant Jeffrey. This scientific fact about germs and diseases confirms the Holy Bible. Leviticus 15:13 says: “And when he that has an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.”
THE HOLY BIBLE REVEALS ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
The Holy Bible reveals that light can be sent, and then manifest itself in speech. Today, radio waves move at the speed of light. This is why you can have instantaneous wireless communication with someone on the other side of the Earth. Many people did not know this fact before the British scientist James Clerk Maxwell suggested that electricity and light waves were two forms of the same thing. In the mid-19th century, light was described by James Clerk. Maxwell in terms of electromagnetic waves; however, by the 20th-century physicists showed that it exhibits properties of particles also; its carrier particle is the photon. Job 38:35 mentions: “Can you send lightning’s that they may go and say unto you, here we are?” Few people realize that these words are both poetic and scientific. Additionally, modern scientists now know that light speed (electromagnetic radiation) has a “way,” involving motion traveling at 300,000 kilometers per second. The bible says in Job 38:19: “Where is the way where light dwells?”

The First Law of Thermodynamics has been considered to be the most powerful and most fundamental generalization about the universe that the scientific community has ever made. This law lies at the base of all modern science. While we can convert matter to energy, we cannot create energy or matter out of nothing. Therefore, since matter and energy make up the universe, we have to face the reality that it had an origin. Despite the amazing modern scientific advances, the scientific fact remains that no known scientific theory can even begin to explain where the energy and matter came from in the first place. Creation is the only plausible theory that any scientist has been able to offer, according Dr. Isaac Asimov. Dr. Asimov’s explanation for the First Law of Thermodynamics confirms the Holy Bible because the Bible is the only religious book that precisely portrays the first law with its description in Genesis of a Creator God who is no longer creating, while “upholding all things by the word of his power” (Hebrews 1:3, NKJV).
The Holy Bible reveals information about the Second Law of Thermodynamics in Isaiah 51:6 and Hebrews 1:10-11. For years, persons within the scientific community have argued that the universe was infinite and eternal. Many believed there was no beginning and thus no intellectual need to believe in a Creator and a Designer God for the universe. However, science researchers now know that the amount of usable energy in the universe is decreasing continually. Because the universe is running down, it cannot be eternal or infinite. It will reach its end following its dramatic beginning. This scientific principle is now referred to as the Second Law of Thermodynamics throughout the scientific community. The Second Law of Thermodynamics, which states that all systems degenerate from order to disorder, was regarded by Dr. Albert Einstein to be the premier Law in science. This scientific fact confirms the Holy Bible because it is the only religious book to accurately describe the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
If a scientific theory is found against the Second Law of Thermodynamics, it has no hope for survival; there is nothing for it, but to collapse in deepest humiliation, according to Sir Arthur Eddington. Darwinism and evolutionism is in complete violation of the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics, according to Dr. Henry Morris and Dr. Duane Gish.
THE BIBLE REVEALS THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE
The Holy Bible reveals that the universe is expanding continually in Isaiah 42:5 and Psalm 104:2 (NKJV). These biblical passages appear to support Big Bang Cosmological Theory, according to Dr. Hugh Ross and Dr. Rich Deem. When Einstein’s general relativity theory was first published, his theory was only a scientific concept and no scientist knew how to test it. And since the galaxies were expanding in a manner similar to an explosion, the theory was born that the universe came into being because of a big bang.
