ENOCH’S TEN WEEK PROPHECY

“When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.” (Genesis 5:21-24).

According to the Holy Scriptures, Enoch was the son of Jared and father of Methuselah. He was taken up to the Third Heaven where God dwells without dying (Gen. 5:18) because Enoch lived in such close fellowship with God that he was translated into God’s presence before living into Noah’s evil generation. Hebrews 11:5 attributes his translation to faith. According to Jude 14, he prophesied about Messiah Yeshua’s second coming to earth.  Enoch gave his 10 week prophecy about human destiny before he departed to Heaven. His 10 week prophecy is found in the book of Enoch chapters 91:13-17 and 93:1-13 and his forecast is very similar to the apocalyptic writings found in the books of Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Barnabas, and Obadiah.

“And after that Enoch both gave and began to recount from the books. And Enoch said: ‘Concerning the children of righteousness and concerning the elect of the world, And concerning the plant of uprightness, I will speak these things, Yea, I Enoch will declare (them) unto you, my sons: According to that which appeared to me in the heavenly vision, And which I have known through the word of the holy angels, And have learnt from the heavenly tablets.” (Enoch 93:1,2).

Enoch’s 10 week Prophecy reveals human history in 7000 years. This study will use the date of Adam’s birth, the date of Christ’s birth, and after Christ’s time on earth as a reference for AA=After Adam, BC= Before Christ, and AD= After Christ’s birth. God’s week is not man’s week because a man’s day is counted from 70 to 100 years lengths, which is man’s life duration, according to Psalm 90. Therefore, Enoch’s weeks are seven periods, where one week equals 700 years, and 10 weeks covering 7000 years of human history. All 7000 years predicts human history, before evil is finally defeated and annihilated.

Enoch received this vision from angels and from heavenly tablets, the same way Moses got the law. (Exodus 12:12; Galatians 3:19) At the time it was already in “the books”. All this is in regard either to the world’s elects or Messiah Yeshua, and the plant of uprightness, or Abraham. The children of righteousness are the saints.  (John 1:29; Roman 8: 12-23)

FIRST WEEK: 1-700 AA (4,000-3,300 BC)

“And Enoch began to recount from the books and said: ‘I was born the seventh in the first week, while judgment and righteousness still endured.” (Enoch 93:3).

The first prophetic week began with the creation of humankind in 4000 BC and it concluded in 3,300 BC. Enoch was born 622 years After Adam’s (AA) creation, which means he was born in the year 3,378 BC. Enoch was the seventh descendent from Adam. Again as stated earlier, seven days equal 100 years and each equals 700 years for one week. Therefore, the 10 weeks reveals 7000 years after Adam, which is the period that this prophecy covers. This means the weeks began with Adam’s birth.

The fact that judgment and righteousness continued to endure during the first week of human history indicates that people lived peacefully. This era was before the sons of God decided to procreate a hybrid human race with many human females. This was the most peaceful era in human history because both mankind and all animal life forms ate a vegetarian diet, which contributed to their long lifespan. The warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures were not known among the human families and dangerous beast did not kill each other. This was the age when all dinosaurs feasted on plants.

SECOND WEEK: 700-1400 AA (3,300-2,600 BC)

“And after me there shall arise in the second week great wickedness, and deceit shall have sprung up; and in it there shall be the first end. And in it a man shall be saved; and after it is ended unrighteousness shall grow up, And a law shall be made for the sinners.” (Enoch 93:4).

The second prophetic week began in 3,300 BC and concluded in 2,600 BC. This era discusses Enoch, Noah, and the fallen angels. Enoch was taken to heaven when he was 365 years old in 3,013 BC when wickedness began to corrupt the families of humanity. Enoch, who represents a type of the “pre-Tribulation Translated Saint,” was caught out “before” the Flood, and the Flood is a type of the Tribulation where Noah and his family represent the “Jewish and Gentile communities who will be preserved through the Tribulation judgments.

Noah was born in 2,944 BC about 365 years after the fallen angels began producing the race of nephilim giants by sexual relations with human females. Noah was the man saved during this prophetic week. The ark dimensions reported by Russian and Turkish soldiers who found Noah’s Ark on Mount Ararat, during 1916 AD, indicates Noah was probably a normal size man about 6-feet tall because the Ark was about 525 feet long, 52.5 feet high, and 87.5 feet wide, which represents the cubit of a man around 6-feet to 6-feet 2-inches tall. However, the nephilim giants were roughly 9-feet to 36-feet tall and they were all violent, sexually hyperactive, and extremely intelligent. The nephilim giants waged war continually to consume the bodies of their enemies. The nephilim giants were involved in sexual violence, sodomy, necrophilia, zoophilia, and fornication. Additionally, the nephilim giants were the builders of many pre-flood pyramid civilizations.

Enoch’s second prophetic week highlights the irruption of angelic beings into the world of men.  We have the source or origin when the antiquity’s classic writers obtained their notions concerning the gods and demi-gods love for earthly women. Their stories describe the legends of beings half human and half divine. These angels who lost their “First Estate” are the “Spirits in Prison” of whom Peter speaks in 1Peter 3:18-20. The outcome of this fallen angelic invasion of the earth by the supernatural beings of the air was the global Flood, by which the contour and elevation of the pre-flood earth was changed, thus wiping out the Garden of Eden. This brought to an end the Pre-flood Age. This part of the book of Enoch parallels Genesis chapter six.

THIRD WEEK: 1400-2100 AA (2600-1900 BC)

“And after that in the third week at its close a man shall be elected as the plant of righteous judgment, and his posterity shall become the plant of righteousness for evermore.” (Enoch 93:5).

The third prophetic week began in 2600 BC before ending in 1900 BC. During this period, the global flood and the Tower of Babel occurred, but these major events are ignored in Enoch’s prophecy while he goes directly to the closing of the third week, when Abraham, “the plant of righteous judgment was born and elected by God during 2083 AA (1917 BC) before the end of the third week. As the prophet predicts, Abraham was elected just at the close of the third week. The global flood occurred in 1656 AA (2344 BC) and the Tower of Babel dispersion happened in 1756 AA (2244 BC) during the third day of the third prophetic week. Abraham’s descendant is Yeshua who is the “plant or righteousness for evermore”

FOURTH WEEK: 2100-2800 AA (1900-1200 BC)

“And after that in the fourth week, at its close, visions of the holy and righteous shall be seen, and a law for all generations and an enclosure shall be made for them.” (Enoch 93:6).

The fourth prophetic week began in 1900 BC before ending in 1200 BC. Enoch’s prophecy is a direct allusion to the Mosaic Law that was given to Moses in 2550 AA (1450 BC). Noah’s law was given for the sinners, while Moses law was given for all generations. Enoch 93:6 alludes to the visions given to Moses and the Israelites in the desert and how God revealed himself to them and showed them His power. The enclosure may refer to the call for the covenant between Israel and God, it might refer only to the eternally in force principles of God’s laws, or it may refer to the Sacred and Holy Ark of the Covenant.

The Ark of the Covenant was the most important piece of furniture in the wilderness tabernacle. The tabernacle was the tent or meeting place between God and man. The Lord told Moses to build it. The word for ark can also mean “chest” or “coffin”. It is not the same word used for Noah’s ark. The ark that Moses had Bezalel make was a chest made of acacia wood. The chest measured approximately 45 by 27 by 27 inches. It was covered inside and out with gold. Poles were slid through its two pairs of rings to make it portable. The ark also served as a container for the two tablets of the covenant given to Moses. The tablets were also called the “testimony.” That is why the ark was sometimes called the “ark of the testimony.” A pot of manna was placed in the ark. Manna was the miraculous food provided by God. The ark also contained Aaron’s rod that had sprouted.

The lid of the ark was called the “mercy seat” or “place of mercy”. It was a piece of gold fitting over the top of the ark. It held its own importance. Annually the high priest was to make atonement for the people of Israel. He would sprinkle the mercy seat with the blood of bulls and goats. In fact, the English expression “mercy seat” is related to the word for “atone.” The lid was called a “seat” because the Lord was considered as enthroned between two cherubim. The Lord spoke to Moses from between the cherubim. The ark was sometimes referred to simply as the ark. At other times it was called the “ark of the covenant”. The Israelites were thus reminded that the ark’s holiness derived from the holy law of God contained inside it. That name also showed the Israelites that they needed to follow the commands God had given in his “covenant.”

Those commands were given by the God of the covenant. He had rescued Israel from slavery in Egypt and had promised to be the ever-present God of his people. Hence the ark was most widely known as the “ark of the covenant.” Sometimes that name was extended to “the Ark of the LORD’s covenant”. At times the ark was called “the Ark of God.” It was a visible sign that the invisible God was dwelling in Israel’s midst. It had a devastating and often deadly “holiness.” The people of Beth-shemesh were severely punished after they had treated the ark without proper respect. A man named Uzzah was killed by the Lord when he touched it with his hand to keep it from tumbling to the ground from a cart. The ark was dangerous to touch because it was the very symbol of God’s presence. For this reason God commanded that the ark be placed in the Holy of Holies. It was to be separated from the rest of the tabernacle by a heavy veil. No sinful person could look upon the glory of God above the ark and live.

FIFTH WEEK: 2800-3500 AA (1200-500 BC)

“And after that in the fifth week, at its close, the house of glory and dominion shall be built forever.” (Enoch 93:7).

The fifth prophetic week began in 1200 BC and concluded in 500 BC. During this period, the first temple was built near the beginning of the fifth week (2999 AA or 1001 BC) and the second temple was built near the same week’s conclusion (3489 AA or 511 BC). God’s Temple is an eternal house that will be rebuilt because it has been established forever. For the Jews the temple was a place to worship and make sacrifices to God, whom they called Yahweh. When the Jews were traveling to the Promised Land after being released from Egypt, they were instructed by God to build a movable temple called a tabernacle so that they would have a place of worship wherever they made camp. Later, Solomon built a more permanent temple for worshiping God. The people saw the tabernacle and the temple as the place where God’s Spirit dwelled. The temple was destroyed and rebuilt several times in history. When Jesus came he taught that the “temple of God” was more than a building. Our bodies are temples of God because he dwells in us through our faith in Christ.

SIXTH WEEK: 3500-4200 AA (500 BC -200 AD)

“And after that in the sixth week all who live in it shall be blinded, and the hearts of all of them shall godlessly forsake wisdom. And in it a man shall ascend; and at its close the house of dominion shall be burnt with fire, and the whole race of the chosen root shall be dispersed.” (Enoch 93:8).

The sixth prophetic week began in 500 BC and ended in 200 AD. During this era, the people of Israel lost their faith in God and their purity in worshipping God was lost during this time. The people who lived in the God’s glory house “were blinded.” During this period, Messiah Yeshua was born, but many religious leaders did not realize and recognize that He was the prophesied Jewish and gentile Messiah. Messiah Yeshua was born in 4000 AA (1 BC), He was baptized in 4028 (28 AD), and He conquered death and ascended to Heaven in 4032 AA (32 AD). Before the end of the sixth week, the Jewish Second Temple (House of Glory) was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD (4070 AA) and the Jewish community (The chosen root) were dispersed worldwide in 4135 AA (135 AD). The whole race refers to the fact that the non-Jewish Israelites (10 tribes) had already been dispersed, but in this week they were dispersed in its entirety.

SEVENTH WEEK:  4200-4900 (200 AD – 900 AD)

“And after that in the seventh week shall an apostate generation arise, and many shall be its deeds, and all its deeds shall be apostate. And at its close shall be elected the elect righteous of the eternal plant of righteousness, to receive sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation. [For who is there of all the children of men that is able to hear the voice of the Holy One without being troubled? And who can think His thoughts? And who is there that can behold all the works of heaven? And how should there be one who could behold the heaven, and who is there that could understand the things of heaven and see a soul or a spirit and could tell thereof, or ascend and see all their ends and think them or do like them? And who is there of all men that could know what is the breadth and the length of the earth, and to whom has been shown the measure of all of them? Or is there anyone who could discern the length of the heaven and how great is its height, and upon what it is founded, and how great is the number of the stars, and where all the luminaries rest?].” (Enoch 93:9-11).

The seventh prophetic week began in 200 AD before concluding in 900 AD. During this period, Christian purity was lost after the second century AD and an apostate Pseudo-Christian religious tradition arose. In other words, paganism entered the Church and the Apostolic religious teaching disappeared. The Gnostics, Greek religious traditions, and Greco-Roman philosophy persuaded many Christians to leave the fundamental and traditional interpretation of the gospel, to create elaborate false doctrines with no biblical and logical bases. Enoch’s prophecy talks about the deeds. The actions of the false Christians were apostate in nature. True Christianity became hard to find. Therefore, the prophet shows by His words that the fulfillment of this prophecy is a heavenly one. No person among the children of humanity can understand and see what is going on in the heavens. Additionally, this period includes the dark ages when ignorance dominated large portions of the world, but Abraham’s Jewish descendants will be given wisdom and understanding for their protection against anti-Jewish hatred during their dispersion.

EIGHTH WEEK: 4900-5600 AA (900-1600 AD)

“And after that there shall be another, the eighth week that of righteousness and a sword shall be given to it that a righteous judgment may be executed on the oppressors, and sinners shall be delivered into the hands of the righteous. And at its close they shall acquire houses through their righteousness, and a house shall be built for the Great King in glory for evermore, and all mankind shall look to the path of uprightness.” (Enoch 91:12-13).

The eighth prophetic week began in 900 AD and ended in 1600 AD. During this period, Christian Europe experience great positive changes and increased in power and gained great global influence.  A sword was given to Christian Europe, who, in the name of Jesus (Yeshua) fought against the Muslims who were the oppressors of Christians during the Medieval Era. Historians count nine Christian crusades into the Middle East beginning in 1095 AD to 1271 AD, and after that the Northern crusades and in 1492 AD with the discovery of America, which was a greater crusade of Christianity that greatly empowered Christianity worldwide. This method of spreading Christianity is far from the Christian principles taught by Messiah, but these crusades were certainly allowed by God, and the name of Jesus (Yeshua) was made known to non-Christians worldwide.

Toward the close of this era, the enlightenment began among Christians in the names of the Cathars, Waldensians, John Hus, Jerome of Prague, John Wicklef, William Tyndale, and in 1517 with the ignition of the protestant reform by Martin Luther. All these events greatly established the house of the Great King, which will last forever. “Mankind looked to the path of uprightness”, the bible was “re-discovered” where Christians began looking upon the bible as the source of enlightenment. The North, Central, and South America were conquered by Christian nations, and a big house or much land was acquired by them. “Their righteousness” seems to allude to the Christian Faith and not the quality of being a good Christian by believers or these people. Enoch’s eighth week prophecy parallels Revelation chapters two and three.

NINTH WEEK: 5600-630 AA (1600-2300 AD)

“And after that, in the ninth week, the righteous judgment shall be revealed to the whole world, and all the works of the godless shall vanish from all the earth, and the world shall be written down for destruction.” (Enoch 91: 14).

The ninth prophetic week began in 1600 AD and will conclude in 2300 AD. This period means that we are living in current history and prophecy. It is during this period that the judgment shall be revealed worldwide.  This prophecy is a direct allusion to the second coming of Messiah Yeshua and His judgment; the Millennial Kingdom, which involves the restoration of all things and Messiah Yeshua’s revelation.

During this time, the world is judged and written down for destruction. Those disapproved will be destroyed. The whole world, of course means the living and the dead, because it is during this time when the resurrection takes place. At the present time we are in the beginning of the fourth day of this ninth week. Therefore, more things must still happen before evil is destroyed.

We should expect for the near future that “the works of the godless will vanish from earth” and that “this present age will end because of messiah Yeshua’s Revelation when the “righteous judgment poor out upon the world.  This part of Enoch’s prophecy parallels Jude 14, Matthew 24; Luke 21; Mark 13; Psalm 83; Obadiah 1:15-21; Ezekiel chapters 35, 36, 37, 38, and 39; Revelation chapters three to 20; and Daniel chapters 10, 11, and 12.

TENTH WEEK: 6300-7000 AA (2300 -3000 AD)

“And after this, in the tenth week in the seventh part, there shall be the great eternal judgment, in which He will execute vengeance amongst the angels. And the first heaven shall depart and pass away, and a new heaven shall appear, and all the powers of the heavens shall give sevenfold light. And after that there will be many weeks without number for ever, and all shall be in goodness and righteousness, and sin shall no more be mentioned forever.” (Enoch 91:15-17).

The 10th prophetic week will begin in 2300 AD and conclude in 3000 AD. Enoch’s 10th prophetic week begins 300 years into Messiah’s 1000 year Kingdom on Earth. In other words, Enoch only saw 700 years  of Messiah Yeshua’s 1000 year kingdom on Earth.  When Messiah’s Millennial Kingdom ends on the Seventh Day, according to Barnabas and John’s eschatology, this event will parallel Enoch’s10th week. Satan and his angels are executed for eternity and a new heaven and earth are created, where there is no more place for wickedness, forever, exactly as the Bible says. Enoch’s 10th week of prophecy parallels the writings found in Barnabas chapter 15, Revelation chapters 20 and 21, and Isaiah chapters 65 and 66. Thus, Enoch saw the future in 10 weeks where each day represented 700 years, while Barnabas and John and Isaiah saw the future in one week where each day represented 1000 years.

Finally, readers must understand that Enoch’s 10 week prophecy represents a general time frame for the fulfillment of human history, but never an exact time frame for the culmination of prophecy. Therefore, each prophetic week maybe longer or shorter in duration because the ancient world does not count time the same way the modern world does.

ANALYSIS OF ENOCH AND NOAH’S DAYS

The fact that Enoch was a true prophet has never been doubted by religious Jews or bible believing Christians. However, the recorded prophecies in the Book of Enoch have been rejected or even banned by many Christian Churches and Jewish organizations because they are unable to determine the inspirational quality of the book. However, by examining secular history, biblical prophecy, and comparing it with Enoch’s eschatology, we can see that portions of Enoch’s visions were truthful, historical, inspired, and prophetic.

Enoch‘s prophecy reflects the days of Noah, while forecasting the tribulation and beyond. Remember, Messiah Yeshua said “As the days of Noah were, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days that were before the Flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage (this passage refers to the marriage of the “Sons of God” and the “Daughters of Men”), until the day that Noah entered into the Ark, and knew not until the Flood came and took them all away; so will also the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew. 24:37-39.

Noah Days and this present 21st century generation include the following characteristics: First, there was a tendency to Worship God Simply as Creator, and Not as Yahweh God requiring atonement for sin and holy living. Second, there was a rapid advancement in civilization, technology, science, and in the arts. Third, there were sexual unions between the righteous and unrighteous. Fourth, there was a vast increase of population and congestion of population into the great cities. Fifth, there was

undue prominence of sexual immorality with a focus on the female sexual anatomy. Sixth, there were unlawful sexual activities with the fallen angels and human females. Finally, there was worldwide rejection of the preaching and prophesying of Enoch and Noah, which parallels the modern rejection of the preaching of the gospel and prophecy today. Therefore, readers of this article should accept Messiah Yeshua as their Lord and savior to escape the coming evil days.
