Magog is the territory under the rule of Gog as described in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Magog was the land of the nomadic Scythians, the region north and northeast of the Black Sea and east of the Caspian Sea, according to the first century historian Josephus. The area would have included territory that is occupied today by Russian, Ukrainian, and Kazakhstan populations. Ezekiel 38:2 also speaks of Gog as the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. These entities are Magog’s allies. While the identification of Gog and Magog still remains disputed, the identifications of Meshech and Tubal have for a long time not been in doubt. Since the late 19th century, Assyrian texts have been available which locate Mushku (Meshech) and Tabal (Tubal) in central and eastern Anatolia (Turkey) respectively.

Another key indicator pointing to Russia as Gog coming from the far North is the size of the coalition army. There is Lebanon and Turkey to the North of Israel, but these nations are unable to field a massive army that could threaten Israel. Ezekiel 38:6 says “Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands:  many people with thee.” Ezekiel 38:15 says “and thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army.” Ezekiel 39:2 says “and I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel.” Today, Russia is to the far north of Israel. If you draw a straight line north of Jerusalem on the map, you will reach Russia. During Ezekiel’s time, Magog was located in southern Russia.

Finally, the fact that the Anti-Messiah is not mentioned in these verses is viewed by so

me prophecy teachers as a good indication that Russian invasion occurs before he arrives on the scene. If the Anti-Messiah were a great world leader at this time, it is not likely that he would stand on the sidelines and leave Russia unchallenged. If this were the middle of the Tribulation Period, he would be in control of some of these nations and they would not be in Russian coalition. His absence is a good indication of a Pre-Tribulation Period attack.

The Battle of Gog and Magog will probably occur after the pre-Tribulation Rapture event and before the Seven Year Tribulation (Daniel 9 and Revelation 6-19). In Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, Gog in the land of Magog is the military leader of a coalition force attacking Israel. In Revelation 20:8, Gog and Magog appear again as a massive army attacking Israel after Messiah’s 1,000-year rule on Earth. The identity of Gog and Magog has been the subject of an extraordinary amount of speculation. The weight of biblical evidence indicates that Gog is an end-time enemy of Israel who will be defeated by Yahweh Elohim before the battle of Armageddon.

The teaching that Gog is the Anti-Messiah is simply wrong for several reasons. First, Gog will die on the mountains of Israel, his body will be devoured by the ravenous birds and beasts of the field (Ezekiel 39:4) and his remains will be buried in the land of Israel (Ezekiel 39:12), but the real Anti-Messiah will be cast alive into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 19:20). Second,  God will put hooks into Gog’s jaws and drag him and his army into the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38:4), but three unclean spirits from the mouths of Satan, the Anti-Messiah and the False Prophet will gather the Anti-Messiah’s army for the Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16:13). Third, Gog will be the leader of a few nations (Ezekiel 38:5-6) and other nations will question his attack (Ezekiel 38:13), but the Anti-Messiah will be the leader of the whole world (Daniel 7:23; Revelation 13:7-8; Zechariah 14:2) and no one will question his attack. And fourth, there will be a second Battle of Gog and Magog long after the Anti-Messiah is cast into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:8).

The Battle of Gog and Magog is not the same as the Battle of Armageddon because God will attack Gog’s troops with rain, great hailstones, fire and brimstone and they will kill each other (Ezekiel 38:21-22), but Yeshua will attack the Anti-Messiah’s troops with the sword of His mouth (Revelation 19:15). Second, the goal of the Battle of Gog and Magog is to take a spoil and a prey; silver, gold, cattle and goods (Ezekiel 38:13), but the goal of the Battle of Armageddon is to destroy Israel (Revelation 12:15). Third, the Battle of Gog and Magog will end upon the mountains of Israel (Ezekiel 39:2), but the Battle of Armageddon will end in the Valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:2); Finally, Gog’s army will be destroyed on the mountains of Israel before it ever reaches Jerusalem (Ezekiel 39:2), but the Anti-Messiah’s army will temporarily capture Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:1).

The Bible teaches that England, the United States, and other Western nations will not help Israel during the Battle of Gog and Magog. Ezekiel 38:13 reads, “Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? Hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? And to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?” Many prophecy teachers identify the merchants of Tarshish as England and many believe the young lions are those nations that came into being out of England such as the United States, Canada and Australia. These nations will question Russia’s invasion, but they will not help Israel. Rather than admitting that Russia is seeking a spoil and a prey; instead of admitting that Islam is a religion of jihad and not a religion of peace; they will resort to political spin and weak diplomacy and they will probably suggest that this war has something to do with poverty and hunger.

The Apocalypse was written at a time when severe persecution was upon the early Church near the close of the first century around 95 AD, during the reign of the Emperor Domitian. It was written about 63 years after Pentecost, and roughly 25 years after Jerusalem’s destruction. Yohanan (John) , who is credited for writing the Apocalypse, was exiled to the Isle of Patmos. The Isle of Patmos was a penal colony during those days, which was an island almost uninhabitable, rocky, and barren. The crime for which Yohanan suffered this banishment was for preaching and teaching God’s word about Yeshua the Messiah. During the time, he must have been around 85 years of age. It appears that none of Yeshua’s disciples were younger than Yohanan during the beginning of Yeshua’s ministry.

Yohanan appears to have naturally loving, gentle and meek disposition. Notice the simplicity of the Apostle’s introduction to the Apocalypse. He did not write the title of the book as it appears on many Bibles, “The Revelation of St. John the Divine.” On the contrary, Yohanan claims no credit for the Apocalypse. This simplicity appears to be common among all the apostles and this fact reveals to modern readers of the Holy Scriptures that they were men of humble spirits. These types of personalities we should expect our Lord to use as special servants and messengers to his people. Rather than adding loud and boastful titles to his name, we find Yohanan introducing himself as “Your Brother,” as the companion of all saints in tribulation.

The Apocalypse is primarily prophecy, and not a literal narrative. The book abounds in symbols, signs, and metaphors because these are the rules of eschatological interpretation. The signs and symbols are evidently designed to barricade its mysteries from all except a certain class, the saints, and from them also until the time was due for the secrets to be revealed. Note the words, “Blessed is he that read and they that hear and understand the words of this prophecy.” The very reading of this book will bring a blessing on believers and when its mysteries gradually dissolve, the understanding thereof will bring still additional blessing.

The book’s name, the Apocalypse, signifies the uncovering, and implies something hidden.  God seems to have given the Apocalypse with the intent of covering up great and important truths, about His future plans for humanity, from the non-believing world. For many members in the early Church, probably few understood any part of the book. Even Yohanan, who saw the visions, was probably ignorant of the significance of what he saw. During the Christian age, some of the saints sought to understand the Church’s future by examining this symbolic book, and doubtless all who read and understand even a part of its teachings were blessed as promised. The book kept opening up to such, and in the days of the Reformation was an important aid to Luther. Thus gradually God opens up his truth and reveals the exceeding riches of his grace; and consequently much more light is due now than at any previous time in the Church’s history.

The first chapter highlights the sevenfold splendor of the glorified Son of Man when Yohanan describes his vision of Yeshua the Messiah.  Chapters two and three reveal Yeshua evaluating seven different types of Churches found in every generation. The Churches represent different  eras in the church’s history. The Church Age  shows the the Church will devolve in spiritual power, but it will increase in material and financial power during its last days on Earth. Eventually Messiah Yeshua will spit out this spiritually failing Church. Chapters four and five show the Church in victory when it has been raptured to the Third Heaven where Messiah Yeshua and the holy angels dwell. All the intervening chapters between 5 and 20 deal with terrifying conflicts between good and evil illustrated in the dramatic rise of the Anti-Messiah and the False Prophet. During in all of these apocalyptic presentations, evil is shown to be triumphant, and the people of the saints of the Most High God are worn out and cry from under the altar.  Chapters 20 reveal the close of this Gospel age and the inauguration of the Millennial Age.  The triumph of the Lord and of his saints is shown when Satan is finally defeated and cast into the lake of fire where the Beast and the False Prophet are burning and suffering continually. Chapter 21 begins with a new universe. God renovates the Heaven and Earth to completely remove all evidence of past evil throughout the universe. A New Jerusalem comes down from Heaven to Earth. The saints from all ages will live there with God forever. No one will ever mourn or die or be in pain ever again. Finally, chapter 22 reveals a beautiful river flowing from God’s throne. This river has the water of life flowing in it. On the banks of the river is the tree of life, which grows twelve kinds of fruit. This last chapter gives a stern warning not to add or take away the information contained in the Apocalypse. The Apocalypse ends with the hope and a short prayer for the faithful.

The millennial day theory teaches that each of the seven creation days recorded in Genesis chapters one and two represents approximately one thousand years of human prophetic history on this Earth, then after the seventh day the final Judgment will come. The final judgment for unbelievers is mentioned in Revelation 20:11-15. We must understand that these days are approximately 1,000 years long and not exactly 1,000 years in duration. In other words, the Genesis creation week portends seven long periods of human history in which each period could be a few decades longer or shorter than 1000 years.  According to some eschatology experts, roughly six thousand years of history have already occurred since the creation of Adam.  The seventh millennium has begun in 21st century after the 20th century was beset with two world wars, widespread famine and disease, an increase in earthquake activity, and the revival of Israel in 1948. These events continue during the dawning of the seventh millennium or twenty-first century AD.

Today scholars debate and try to explain away the creation week. However, biblical chronology describes approximately 6,000 years from Adam and Eve to the year A.D. 2000. This means the six creation days of Genesis were prophetic because they forecast six long periods for human history where each day equaled approximately 1,000 years, followed by the seventh, or Sabbath, Millennium. According to 2 Peter 3:8 and Psalm 90:4, one day with God is like 1000 years. God did not require seven days to complete creation. He could have done it in one day or less. The seven days were obviously prophetic a picture showing God’s planned 6,000-year history for humanity.

Early Christian writers held that at the end of 6,000 years of history, Messiah would return and reign for 1,000 years (commonly referred to as the Millennium). These included Barnabas and Irenaeus and many other Christian writers. For example, Barnabas wrote: “As there had been 2,000 years from Adam to Abraham, and 2,000 from Abraham to Christ; therefore, there will be 2,000 years for the Christian era and then would come the Millennium.”

Church father Irenaeus wrote concerning a belief of the early church: “For the day of the Lord is as a thousand years; and in six days created things were completed; it is evident, therefore, that they will come to an end at the sixth thousand years.” Lactantius, tutor of the son of the Roman Emperor Constantine, stated in his Book of Divine Institutes, Chapter 14: “Let the philosophers know that the six thousandth year is not yet completed; and when this number is completed, the consummation must take place.” Therefore, if early Jewish and Christian theologians are correct in their prophetic interpretation of the Genesis creation week, we should be able to point out a prophetic parallel with each millennium of human history reflecting the Genesis creation week.

The Vilna Gaon (1720 – 1797 AD) also known as the Genius of Vilnius of Lithuania. Legend says he memorized the Old Testament Scriptures (Tanach) by age of three. He believed that each creation day in Genesis Chapter One represents one thousand years of human prophetic history, and all the details which occurred on these creation days preview corresponding future events.

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep, And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day” (NKJV: Genesis 1:2-5).

On creation day one, darkness is separated from light. This creation event foretells Adam’s separation from God who is light (1-JOHN 1:5) at the beginning of the first thousand years (first Millennium). The first creation day also presage the proliferation of GOOD and EVIL during the first millennium of human history. When God said, “Let there be light,” He divided the light from the darkness. He called the light GOOD, implying that darkness sometimes symbolize EVIL. Light is a natural symbol for what is pleasant, good, or uplifting. Light is closely linked with God; in fact, God is described as light: “No longer will you need the sun or moon to give you light, for the LORD your God will be your everlasting light, and he will be your glory. The sun will never set; the moon will not go down. For the LORD will be your everlasting light” (Isaiah 60:19-20). The psalmist wrote, “The LORD is my light and my salvation” (Psalm 27:1). God is said to be robed with light (Psalm 104:2), and that light dwells with him (Daniel 2:22). Darkness is no problem to God. Darkness and light are alike to him (Psalm 139:12). Micah saw God both as light and also as the force that brings people into the light (Micah 7:8-9). Both are ways of affirming that there is blessing and victory with God, so that a servant of God need never be dismayed.

Darkness on other hand sometime represents evil in the Scriptures. Darkness is mentioned in the story of the plagues God inflicted on Egypt; the ninth plague was an intense darkness that could be “felt” (Exodus 10:21-23). That darkness lasted three days; wherever Egyptians were, it was dark, but where the Israelites were, there was light. When the Israelites left Egypt, a cloud followed, separating them from their enemy, giving light to the Israelites but making darkness for the Egyptians (14:20). The Bible also tells us that thieves or adulterers are likely to do their evil deeds in the dark or at night (Job 24:16-17). However, several biblical passages speak of a darkness surrounding God. God spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai in a dense, black cloud (Exodus 20:21; Deuteronomy 4:11) or from the darkness (5:23). Darkness is pictured as a shelter or cloak around God (2 Samuel 22:12; Psalms 18:11; 97:2). God sets a boundary for light and darkness (Job 26:10), brings darkness (Psalms 104:20, 105:28), and creates light and darkness (Isaiah 45:7). God dwells in thick darkness (1 Kings 8:12; 2 Chronicles 6:1), and thick darkness is under his feet (2 Samuel 22:10; Psalm 18:9).

Therefore, God, who knows the future, could make the first day of Creation to represent the first millennium of human history. “Let there be light and it was good.” Likewise, during the beginning of the first millennium, God put man in the Garden of Eden, and gave him a choice between the TREE OF LIFE and the TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL. During the course of the first millennium, mankind grappled with the spread of good and evil. Because the first millennium was established with the creation of Adam, he and his immediate descendants were the first millennium men to choose between forces of good and evil.

“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. “And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. “And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day” (NKJV: Genesis 1:6-8).

The second creation day predicts the worldwide FLOOD of Noah’s violent generation during the second millennium of human history. The global flood caused worldwide destruction on planet Earth. When God divide the waters and made the firmament during the second day, He did not say that this formation of waters were good because He knew that someday in the future the waters above and the waters below would destroy pre-flood humanity. The firmament came as judgment upon an unbelieving human race. It is evident that the great Flood of Noah’s day was predicted by the events of second creation day. Noah was roughly 600 years old when the Flood came. Because the great Flood happened roughly 1,656 years after Adam, then Noah was probably born around 1056 years after the creation of Adam, he probably was born 126 years after Adam’s death. Therefore, Noah becomes the second millennium man after creation.

“And God said, Let the water under the heaven be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. “And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. “And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. “And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. “And the evening and the morning were the third day” (NKJV: Genesis 1:9-13).

On creation day three, dry land appears. This day previews Joshua leading Israel into the Promise land (eretz Yisrael) in the third millennium of human history.  The third creation day also forecasts the rebirth of plant life, human civilization, and call of Abraham during the third millennium of human history. He caused the land to be fruitful and multiply. When God caused the waters of the great flood to decrease and gave the command to “be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth,” His actions reflect the third day of Creation when the Earth brought forth vegetation following the creation of dry land. During the third millennium, the Earth again produced vegetation to replace that, which was destroyed by the Flood. Furthermore, at the beginning of the third millennium, God called Abraham, born roughly 2,008 years after Adam, to produce a chosen People who would love and serve God, and produce the Messiah Yeshua. Abraham was the third millennium man, after whom the millennium was established. He made a covenant, which sets up an organized system of religion and a way by which the human race can be spiritually fruitful. We can see it at Sinai when God established the Mosaic covenant with the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: “And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. “And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, “And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. “And the evening and the morning were the fourth day” (NKJV: Genesis 1:14-19).

The fourth creation day foretells the Kingdom of David, Messiah Yeshua’s birth,  and the origins of Christianity during the fourth millennium of human history. On that day God created lights in the firmament of the heaven. He created stars and set them in the heavens for signs. This is a prophetic overview of those days that began with the kingdom of David. Born around the turn of the fourth millennium, David becomes the fourth millennium man, after whom the millennium was established. In the years that followed, most of the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures were written. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Micah, Joel, Amos, Zechariah, and others were surely lights set in the firmament of human history to give us prophetic signs.

The fourth millennium concluded with the introduction of another great light. When the fullness of time was come, thus ending the fourth millennium, God sent His Son, “made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law” (Galatians 4:4,5). Yeshua said, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). The sun is a type of Messiah Yeshua. But then Yeshua turned to His disciples, who represented New Testament Christianity, and said, “Ye are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14). Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, New Testament Christianity should reflect the glory of our Lord and Savior, Messiah Yeshua.

“And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the Earth in the open firmament of heaven. “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. “And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. “And the evening and the morning were the fifth day” (NKJV: Genesis 1:20-23).

On the fifth creation day, God made the birds. In the Holy Scriptures, birds are sometimes portrayed as evil demons, but at other times a bird represents God the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. This creation day previews the corruption of the Church in the fifth millennium.   The fifth creation day also presage the move of the Holy Spirit during the fifth millennium of human history. The water appears to be a type of the Holy Spirit and the term, “bring forth abundantly,” seems to be a picture of the great commission. On this fifth day God called forth the fish.  Messiah Yeshua was born at the beginning of the fifth millennium, making Him the fifth special person born around the turn of the millennium, and after whom the millennium was established. After Yeshua, there are no more millennium men. No one can compare to Him. The fifth day of Creation represents the pouring out of the Holy Spirit (typified by water) and the development of Christianity, as the early church be-came “fishers of men.” We may recall, Yeshua told His disciples that He would make them to be “fishers of men.” And the insignia of the early church was a fish. The phrase, “be fruitful and multiply” is a prophetic picture of our responsibility as New Testament Christians. We are to take the message of the Gospel to every creature.

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. “And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. “So God created man in his own image, in the im-age of God created he him; male and female created he them. “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply … “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (NKJV: Genesis 1:24-31).

The six creation day portends the RAPTURE event and believers transformation into GOD’S IMAGE during the the sixth millennium of human history. Because this day is a picture of the rapture of Messiah’s Church and the IMAGE OF GOD, it reflects the sixth day when God made man in His own image. In like manner, many believers in Yeshua are looking for the resurrection and rapture around the end of the sixth millennium, to be made again like unto His image. The fall of Adam may be a prophetic type of the battle of Armageddon when an unbelieving human race will be judged of God. After the fall, God predicted that Eve would travail in childbirth. In like manner, the sixth millennium concluded with a series of the prophetic “birth-pangs of travail.” These birth pangs, however, will bring forth a new humanity recreated in the image of God. The Apostle Paul wrote: “This corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality” (I Corinthians 15:53). That is what the rapture and the resurrection is all about.

“Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.  And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.  Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.” (NKJV: Genesis 2:1-3).

When God ended His work and rested, He gave us a prophetic view of the great Sabbath rest — the seventh millennium of human history. Because of God’s own emphasis on the SABBATH, literally, spiritually, and prophetically, and since a thousand years to the Lord is as a day (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8), ancient and modern scholars see the seventh millennium as the Sabbath Millennium, with many prophetic implications; namely, the return of the Lord and His 1,000-year reign on the earth. God’s labor of creation took six days, followed by a day of rest. His SABBATH commandment to Israel was “to keep it holy.” His creative work with humanity, and humanity’s labor, likewise probably comprises six (thousand-year) days, with the seventh being one of divinely provided rest and holiness, with God present and exalted on the earth.

From the very dawning of human history, one can follow God’s plan of the ages through the Genesis account of the Creation week. This must be what is meant in Isaiah 46: “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Isaiah. 46:9-10). God did not wait until the days of Yeshua, or David, or Moses, or even Noah to present His plan, He laid it out from the very beginning. God declared the end from the beginning.

Skeptics argue that since A.D. 2000 has come and gone, then this fact proves the six day millennial theory is wrong. However,  the prophetic millennial days  in the Holy Scriptures represent approximate time frames and not exact time frames. Some of the days representing each millennium were a few years or decades longer, while other days were a few years or decades shorter. While the Sacred Scriptures are very precise when using the prophetic calendar (360 days for one year) for dealing with the nation of Israel and Messiah Yeshua’s First Coming, the Holy Bible appears to employ a general time-frame for the six day millennial history for mankind and for Messiah Yeshua’s  Second Coming to Earth. The ancient Hebrew’s count time differently than people living today because the number 1,000 was sometimes used as the largest number prophetic writers could think of.  This means that each day of creation represents an approximate time frame of 1,000 years of human history rather than an exact period of 1,000 years.

Based on all the above, it can be concluded that sometime soon after the beginning of the 21st Century, we will see the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Messiah Yeshua following the global worldwide upheavals. He will first come for His Church at the rapture before revealing himself to the world at Armageddon. The brilliant Sir Isaac Newton, believe the Scriptures contain clues related to the season of Messiah Yeshua’s return.  There is evidence that the Bible reveals the approximate number for years of “the times of the Gentiles” and the exact span of time for Israel’s rebirth in 1948 and the recapture of Jerusalem in 1967. Therefore, leaving believers completely clueless about the season of His return would violate God’s own established pattern as revealed in His Word.  We are not left clueless. There are many signs. Let us remain watchful and ready, and be found doing the work Messiah Yeshua wants us to do. The 21st Century will likely be the Messianic century, which begins the Sabbath Rest for humanity during the millennial era of Messiah Yeshua.

When we study Biblical eschatology, we should remember that many believers in Messiah Yeshua concur on three major Scriptural revelations. First, there is coming a time of great apocalyptic tribulation worldwide. Second, after the Tribulation, Messiah Yeshua will return to establish His kingdom on planet Earth in Jerusalem Israel.  And third, there will be a Rapture event, when believers are supernaturally translated from mortality to immortality (John 14:13; 1 Corinthians 15:5152; 1 Thessalonians 4:1617).  However, prophecy teachers disagree about when the rapture of the Church will occur in relation to the Tribulation and the Second Coming of Messiah Yeshua.

Through the years four main theories have emerged concerning the timing of the Rapture. The first rapture theory is MID-TRIBULATION RAPTURE view. This theory teaches the rapture of the Church will occur either during or shortly after the midpoint of the Tribulation. The second rapture theory is PRE-WRATH RAPTURE view. This theory teaches the rapture of the Church happens sometime before the Seven Vials of Wrath are released upon the world. The third rapture theory is POST-TRIBULATION RAPTURE view. This theory teaches the rapture of the Church will occur at the end of the Seven Year Tribulation.  And the fourth rapture theory is PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE view. This theory teaches the rapture of the Church will occur before the Seven Year Tribulation begins. In other words, the rapture of the Church will occur sometime before all 21 Judgments begin on planet Earth.

The mid-tribulation rapture theory teaches that the rapture occurs at the midpoint of the tribulation.  During this period, the seventh trumpet sounds (Revelation 11:15), the Church will meet Messiah Yeshua in the air, and then the bowl judgments are poured upon the earth (Revelation 15 to 16) in a time known as the great tribulation. In other words, the rapture and Messiah’s Second Coming are separated by a period of three and a half years. According to this view, the Church goes through the first half of the tribulation but is spared the worst of the tribulation in the last three and a half years.

Believers in the mid-tribulation rapture theory point to the chronology given in 2 Thessalonians 2:1–3. The order of events is as follows: 1) apostasy, 2) the revelation of the Anti-Messiah, and 3) the day of Messiah. The mid-tribulation theory teaches that the Anti-Messiah will not be decisively revealed until “the abomination that causes desolation” (Matthew 24:15), which occurs at the midpoint of the tribulation (Daniel 9:27). Believers in the Mid-tribulation theory use Daniel 7:25, which says the Anti-Messiah will have power over the “saints” for three and a half years, to bolster their point—they assume this is the first half of the tribulation and that the saints spoken of are the church. Also, they interpret “the day of Messiah” as the rapture. Therefore, the Church will not be caught up to heaven until after the Anti-Messiah is revealed.

Another foundational teaching of mid-tribulation rapture theory is that the trumpet of 1 Corinthians 15:52 is the same trumpet mentioned in Revelation 11:15. The trumpet of Revelation 11 is the final in a series of trumpets. Therefore, it makes sense that it would be “the last trumpet” of 1 Corinthians 15. This logic fails, however, in view of the trumpets’ objectives. The trumpet that sounds at the rapture is “the trumpet call of God” (1 Thessalonians 4:16), but the one in Revelation 11 is a harbinger of judgment. One trumpet is a call of grace to God’s elect, but the other is a pronouncement of doom on the wicked.

First Thessalonians 5:9 says that the church has not been appointed “to suffer wrath but to receive salvation.” This would seem to indicate that believers will not experience the tribulation. However, believers in the mid-tribulation theory interprets “wrath” as only referring to the second half of the tribulation—specifically, the bowl judgments. Limiting the word in such a way seems unwarranted, however. Surely the terrible judgments contained in the seals and trumpets—including famine, poisoned rivers, a darkened moon, bloodshed, earthquakes, and torment—could also be considered the wrath of God.

The mid-tribulation rapture theory places the rapture in Revelation 11, prior to the start of the great tribulation. There are two problems with this placement in the chronology of Revelation. First, the only occurrence of the term “great tribulation” in the entire book of Revelation is in 7:14, before the opening of the seventh seal. Second, the only reference to a “great day of wrath” is in Revelation 6:17, during the events of the sixth seal. Both of these references come too early for a mid-tribulation rapture event, which is timed according to the seventh trumpet.

The pre-wrath rapture theory says that the rapture occurs before the “great day of wrath” (Revelation 6:17). According to the pre-wrath view, believers go through most of the tribulation but not the time of God’s wrath just before the end of the tribulation (Matthew 24:21). The church will endure Satan’s fury and man’s persecution, but will be spared God’s wrath. Before God pours out His final judgment on the world, the church will be caught up to heaven. Here is a brief summary of the pre-wrath rapture position. The pre-wrath rapture theory views the trumpet and the bowl judgments (Revelation 7–16) as the wrath of God, from which the church is exempted (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

However, the first six seal judgments (Revelation 6) are not considered the wrath of God; rather, they are viewed as “the wrath of Satan” or “the wrath of the anti-Messiah.” This is because there is no direct mention of God’s wrath until after the sixth seal is broken (Revelation 6:17). According to the pre-wrath rapture theory, the church will be present to experience the first six seals. Comparing Revelation 6 with Matthew 24, the pre-wrath rapture theorists identify the first seal judgments with Yeshua’ description of the end times in Matthew 24:47.

Yeshua then refers to these events as “the beginning of birth pains” (verse 8). In verses 29 and 30, “the sign of the Son of Man” appears in the sky, and it is at this time, according to the pre-wrath rapture theory, that the rapture of the church occurs. One weakness of the pre-wrath rapture position is its presumption that the “elect” mentioned in Matthew 24:22, 31 are church age saints. These saints could just as easily be individuals saved during the seven year tribulation and in fact, Yeshua tells those who flee the anti-Messiah’s persecution to pray that their flight does not occur “on the Sabbath” (verse 20). Since the church is not under the Mosaic law and does not keep the Sabbath, Yeshua’ words cannot be directed to the church. Another flaw in the pre-wrath rapture theory is its teaching that the first seal judgments are not the wrath of God. Scripture shows that it is the Lamb who opens the seals (Revelation 5:5; 6:1). No other man is found worthy to open them (5:34). It would seem, then, these are not man’s judgments, but God’s. The tribulation begins when Yeshua opens the first seal, and from that point on, the wrath of God is meted out on a sinful world.

The post-tribulation rapture theory teaches that the Rapture occurs at the end, or near the end, of the Tribulation. When this time arrives, the church will meet Messiah in the air and then return to earth for the commencement of Messiah’s Kingdom on earth. In other words, the Rapture and Messiah’s Second Coming happen almost simultaneously. According to this view, the church goes through the entire seven year Tribulation. Roman Catholicism, Greek Orthodoxy, and many Protestant denominations espouse a Post-tribulation rapture view of the Rapture. One strength of post-tribulation rapture theory is that Yeshua, in His extended discourse on the end times, says He will return after a “great tribulation” (Matthew 24:21, 29). Also, the book of Revelation, with all its various prophecies, mentions only one coming of the Lord—and that occurs after the Tribulation (Revelation 19:20).

Passages such as Revelation 13:7 and 20:9 also lend support to post-tribulation rapture theory in that there will obviously be saints in the Tribulation. Also, the resurrection of the dead in Revelation 20:5 is called “the first resurrection.” Post-tribulation rapture believers assert that, since this “first” resurrection takes place after the Tribulation, the resurrection associated with the Rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 cannot occur until then. Post-tribulation rapture believers also point out that, historically, God’s people have experienced times of intense persecution and trial. Therefore, they say, it should not be surprising that the church also experiences the Great Tribulation of the end times. In relation to this, the post-tribulation rapture view distinguishes “Satan’s wrath” from “God’s wrath” in the book of Revelation. Satan’s wrath is directed against the saints, and God allows it as a means of purifying His faithful. On the other hand, God’s wrath is poured out on the Anti-Messiah and his godless kingdom, and God will protect His people from that punishment.

One weakness of post-tribulation theory is the clear teaching of Scripture that those who are in Messiah are not under condemnation and will never experience the wrath of God (Romans 8:1). While some judgments during the Tribulation specifically target the unsaved, many other judgments, such as the earthquakes, falling stars, and famines, will affect the saved and unsaved equally. Thus, if believers go through the Tribulation, they will experience the wrath of God, in contradiction of Romans 8:1. Post-tribulation rapture believers also face a difficulty in explaining the absence of the word church in all biblical passages related to the Tribulation. Even in Revelation 4–21, the lengthiest description of the Tribulation in all of Scripture, the word church never appears. Post-tribulation rapture believers must assume that the word saints in Revelation 4–21 means the church, although a different Greek word is used.

The pre-tribulation rapture theory teaches that the Rapture occurs before the Seven Year Tribulation begins. During this time, the Church will meet Messiah Yeshua in the air, and then sometime after that supernatural rapture event, the Anti-Messiah is revealed and the Tribulation begins. In other words, the Rapture and Messiah’s Second Coming are separated by at least seven years. Therefore, based on this perspective, the church does not experience God’s 21 Judgments during the Tribulation

For many Biblical eschatology experts, the pre-tribulation rapture perspective is more consistent with God’s Word and His merciful nature than all other competing rapture theories. For example, the church is not appointed to wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:910, 5:9), and believers will not be overtaken by the Day of the Lord (1 Thessalonians 5:19). The church of Philadelphia was promised to be kept from “the hour of trial that will to come upon the whole world” (Revelation 3:10). Notice that the promise is not preservation through the trial, but deliverance from the hour, that is, from the time period of the trial.

Pre-tribulation rapture theory finds support in what is not found in Scripture. The word “church” appears 19 times in the first three chapters of Revelation, but, significantly, the word is not used again until chapter 22. In other words, in the entire lengthy description of the Tribulation in Revelation, the word church is noticeably absent. In fact, the Bible never uses the word “church” in a passage relating to the Tribulation. Pre-tribulation rapture is the only theory which clearly maintains the distinction between Israel and the church and God’s separate plans for each. The seventy “sevens” of Daniel 9:24 are decreed upon Daniel’s people (THE JEWISH COMMUNITY LIVING IN ISRAEL) and Daniel’s holy city (JERUSALEM). This prophecy makes it plain that the seventieth week (SEVEN YEAR TRIBULATION) is a time when God returns to dealing and restoring the nation of Israel and Jerusalem, but not for the believers in Messiah Yeshua’s Church.

The primary weakness for all the competing rapture theories is the Holy Bible does not give an explicit time line concerning future events. The Holy Scriptures does not expressly teach one view over another, and that is why we have diversity of opinion concerning the end times and some variety on how the related prophecies should be harmonized.

Nevertheless, as we come closer to the final days of human history, many believers and non-believers will attack the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine for various reasons. Skeptics will say the pre-tribulation rapture theory is escapism, but Messiah Yeshua said “watch and pray always that you are counted worthy to escape all these things” (Luke 21:36).  Skeptic will say the pre-tribulation rapture theory only offers psychological comfort. However, St. Paul says comfort one another with these words (1 Thessalonians 4:18).

As we near Messiah Yeshua’s return, Christians will experience persecution in North America because the Church is not promised complete protection from Satan’s wrath and mankind’s attacks. Today, many Arab and African Christians are dying at the hands of Islamic militants, while Western Christians wonder how God will bless them tomorrow.  When Christianity began in the First Century AD, it was more dangerous to be Christian in Rome, than in North Africa or the Middles East.  Western Christians must understand that within the next few years, there will probably remain no real Christians living in the Muslim nations decorating the Middle East because the Church is living in the era of Satan’s wrath and not God’s wrath.

A growing number of believers think they will survive the tribulation days by stock piling food and military supplies. They do this because they fail to understand that all 21 judgments (the 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets, and 7 Bowels) are all part of the wrath of the Most High God. Persecution should never be something a believer seeks, but we should be physically, mentally, and spiritually prepared for it when the enemy shows up to fight us. We can resist the Adversary with prayer and fasting and logical decision making, but we can never defeat the Most High God. Therefore,   it is impossible to escape the wrath of God unless we embrace Him as our Lord and Savior before the Tribulation begins.  This author believes that you should do this today while there is still time.

The Day of the Lord is an expression used by Old Testament Hebrew prophets to describe a time when God actively takes part in human history. The words “DAY OF THE LORD” usually identifies events that take place at the end of history and is often closely associated with the phrase “THAT DAY.” The key to understanding these expressions are words identifying a span of time during which God personally intervenes in history, directly or indirectly, to accomplish some specific aspect His plan. Many eschatology experts associate the Day of the Lord with the tribulation period when God will release 21 judgments upon a Messiah rejecting world. The tribulation is a future seven year period of time when God will intensify His dealing with Israel and finalize His judgment of the unbelieving world.

The church, made up of all believers who have trusted in the person and work of Messiah Yeshua, will be saved from the tribulation judgments because believers in the Church will not be present during the tribulation. The church will be removed from the earth in an event known as the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54). The church is saved from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 5:9). Throughout Scripture, the tribulation is referred to by other names such as the Day of the Lord (Isaiah 2:12; 13:69; Joel 1:15; 2:131; 3:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:2) and a time of trouble and tribulation (Deuteronomy 4:30; Zephaniah 1:1).  The Great Tribulation, which refers to the more intense second half of the seven year period (Matthew 24:21) and time or day of trouble (Daniel 12:1; Zephaniah 1:15) and time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7).

An understanding of Daniel 9:24-27 is necessary in order to understand the purpose and time of the tribulation. This passage speaks of 70 weeks that have been declared against “your people.” Daniel’s people are the Jews, the nation of Israel, and Daniel 9:24 speaks of a period of time that God has given “to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.” God declares that “seventy sevens” will fulfill all these things. This is 70 sevens of years, or 490 years.

This is confirmed by another part of this passage in Daniel. In verses 25 and 26, Daniel is told that the Messiah will be cut off after “seven sevens and sixty two sevens” (69 total), beginning with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem. In other words, 69 sevens of years (483 years) after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem, the Messiah will be cut off. Biblical historians confirm that 483 years passed from the time of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the time when Jesus was crucified. Most Christian scholars, regardless of their view of eschatology (future things and major events), have the above understanding of Daniel’s 70 sevens.  With 483 years having passed from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the cutting off of the Messiah, this leaves one seven year period to be fulfilled in terms of Daniel 9:24: “to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.” This final seven year period is known as the tribulation period—it is a time when God finishes judging Israel for its sin.

Daniel 9:27 gives a few highlights of the seven year tribulation period: “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” The person of whom this verse speaks is the person Jesus calls the “abomination that causes desolation” (Matthew 24:15) and is called “the beast” in Revelation 13. Daniel 9:27 says that the beast will make a covenant for seven years, but in the middle of this week (3 1/2 years into the tribulation), he will break the covenant, putting a stop to sacrifice.

Revelation 13 explains that the beast will place an image of himself in the temple and require the world to worship him. Revelation 13:5 says that this will go on for 42 months, which is 3 1/2 years. Since Daniel 9:27 says that this will happen in the middle of the week, and Revelation 13:5 says that the beast will do this for a period of 42 months, it is easy to see that the total length of time is 84 months or seven years. Also see Daniel 7:25, where the “time, times, and half a time” (time=1 year; times=2 years; half a time=1/2 year; total of 3 1/2 years) also refers to “great tribulation,” the last half of the seven year tribulation period when the beast will be in power. For further references about the tribulation, see Revelation 11:23, which speaks of 1260 days and 42 months, and Daniel 12:11-12, which speaks of 1290 days and 1335 days. These days have a reference to the midpoint of the tribulation. The additional days in Daniel 12 may include the time at the end for the judgment of the nations (Matthew 25:3146) and time for the setting up of Christ’s millennial kingdom (Revelation 20:46).  Therefore, the tribulation or Day of the Lord is a seven year time period in the end times in which humanity’s decadence and depravity will reach its fullness, with God judging accordingly.

The phrase “DAY OF THE LORD” is used many times in the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures (Isaiah 2:12; 13:6, 9; Ezekiel 13:5, 30:3; Joel 1:15, 2:1, 11, 31; 3:14; Amos 5:18, 20; Obadiah 15; Zephaniah 1:7, 14; Zechariah 14:1; Malachi 4:5). The Old Testament Biblical passages dealing with the Day of the Lord often convey a sense of imminence, nearness, and expectation: “Wail, for the Day of the Lord is near!” (Isaiah 13:6); “For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near” (Ezekiel 30:3) and “Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand” (Joel 2:1) and “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the Day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision” (Joel 3:14) and “Be silent before the Lord God! For the Day of the Lord is near” (Zephaniah 1:7). This is because the Old Testament passages referring to the Day of the Lord often speak of both a near and a far fulfillment, as does much of Old Testament prophecy. Some Old Testament passages that refer to the day of the Lord describe historical judgments that have already been fulfilled in some sense (Isaiah 13:622; Ezekiel 30:219; Joel 1:15, 3:14; Amos 5:1820; Zephaniah 1:1418), while others refers to divine judgments that will take place toward the end of the age (Joel 2:30-32; Zechariah 14:1; Malachi 4:1, 5).

This same phrase is employed a few times in the New Testament Christian Scriptures (Acts 2:20; 2 Thessalonians 2:2; 2 Peter 3:10). It is also alluded to in other passages (Revelation 6:17; 16:14). The New Testament calls it a day of “wrath,” a day of “visitation,” and the “great day of God Almighty” (Revelation 16:14) and refers to a still future fulfillment when God’s wrath is poured out on unbelieving

Israel (Isaiah 22; Jeremiah 30:117; Joel 12; Amos 5; Zephaniah 1) and on the unbelieving world (Ezekiel 38–39; Zechariah 14). The Scriptures indicate that “the day of the Lord” will come quickly, like a thief in the night (Zephaniah 1:1415; 2 Thessalonians 2:2), and therefore Christians must be watchful and ready for the coming of Christ at any moment.

Finally, the Day of the Lord will also be a time of salvation as God will deliver the remnant of Israel, fulfilling His promise that “all of Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26), forgiving their sins and restoring His chosen people to the land He promised to Abraham (Isaiah 10:27; Jeremiah 30:1931, 40; Micah 4; Zechariah 13). The final outcome of the Day of the Lord will be that “the arrogance of man will be brought low and the pride of men humbled and  the Lord alone will be exalted in that day” (Isaiah 2:17). The ultimate or final fulfillment of the prophecies concerning the Day of the Lord will come at the end of history when God, with wondrous power, will punish evil and fulfill all His promises.

The Bible Codes show that major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions will likely occur in America’s future. The Hebrew words for America, Yellowstone, Mount Rainier, Volcano, eruption, earthquake, smoke, fire, and death were all found in the Sacred and Holy Book of Leviticus. The Equidistant Letter Spacing (ELS) codes were found in Leviticus 22:13 to Leviticus 24:15. These ELS codes probably describe events during the Tribulation Week (Revelation Chapters 6 to 19).  Within God’s Holy Scriptures, earthquakes are the shaking or trembling of the earth caused by volcanic activity, earthquakes occur frequently in Israel. The regions around the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee are volcanic in nature. The primary centers of earthquakes in Israel are upper Galilee, the Samaritan country near Shechem, and the western edge of the Judean Mountains near Lydda. The Hebrew word for “earthquake” indicates a great noise or a tremendous roaring. This suggests that the Israelites were impressed with the rumbling connected with earthquakes.

The Bible mentions that earthquakes occurred during the following events: at Mount Sinai, when God gave the law to Moses (Exodus 19:18); during the wilderness wandering of the Israelites, when Korah and his followers rebelled against Moses and were destroyed as punishment for their rebellion (Numbers 16:31-33); during a fight between the Philistines and Jonathan and his armor bearer (1 Samuel 14:15); after Elijah killed the prophets of Baal and fled from Jezebel’s wrath, before God spoke to him (1 Kings 19:11); during the reign of King Uzziah (Amos 1:1). The earth shook and the rocks split at the death of Yeshua on Calvary (Matthew 27:51-54). Another earthquake took place at the resurrection of Yeshua (28:2). When Paul and Silas were in jail at Philippi, an earthquake shook the foundations of the prison (Acts 16:26).

Earthquakes are predicted before and during the “Day of the Lord” (Zechariah 14:4-5) and the end of the age (Revelation 6:12-24; 11:19; 16:18). Today, some Biblical eschatology experts and Bible code researchers believe there will be major earthquakes in North America, Japan, China, Israel, and elsewhere during the 2014 and 2015 timeframe.

Many Bible code researchers believe the next major earthquake to strike United States of America will begin in California. All the major quakes that have already shaken that state were foreseen. The biggest that ever struck the United States the great San Francisco earthquake of 1906 was encoded in the Holy Bible. The Hebrew words for “S.F. Calif.” and 1906 appear together. “Fire, earthquake” is also encoded with the year, and the hidden text states “city consumed, destroyed.”

The biggest recent earthquake to hit the U.S. mainland, again in San Francisco, is also encoded. The year, 1989, the words “fire, earthquake,” and “S.F. Calif.” all appear in the same place. But Los Angeles is mathematically the best match with “great earthquake” of any major city in the world. “L.A. Calif.” is encoded with “great earthquake” against very high odds, and both “America” and “USA” also appear with the predicted cataclysm. Seismologists agree that Southern California is the most likely area in the United States to face a major earthquake in the near future.  The U.S. Geological Survey in 1995 stated that there is an “80 to 90% probability of a magnitude 7.0 or greater earthquake will occur within Southern California before 2024.”

Other Bible code researchers have found codes showing that the Yellowstone region will erupt soon. Yellowstone’s massive mantle plume is getting bigger. This reservoir of superheated viscose rock is at least two and a half times larger than previously thought. A new study disclosed on Oct. 27th at the Geological Society of America annual conference, stated a huge earthquake measuring 9.0 mag. or larger as a result of Yellowstone’s massive mantle plume expansion may be a higher risk in the near future resulting in a major earthquake and an eventual volcanic eruption.

Significant volcanic activity has been occurring in Yellowstone National Park for the past few years.  When this large eruption happens, it does not devastate all of North America. However, this eruption will probably be larger than Mount Saint Helens. Even though all of the signs will be there, the eruption catches many people off guard. The ash will spread throughout the eastern part of North America, and there will be some civil unrest, but not too much because people cannot be out in the ash. Most of the civil unrest is caused by people trying to get food and supplies.

Likewise, some Bible code researchers and prophecy teachers believe that Mount Rainier will erupt soon. Mt. Rainier is a massive strato-volcano located 54 miles (87 km) southeast of Seattle in the state of Washington, United States. It is the most topographically prominent mountain in the contiguous United States. Mt. Rainier is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, and it is on the Decade Volcano list. Because of its large amount of glacial ice, Mt. Rainier could potentially produce massive lahars that would threaten the whole Puyallup River valley.

Bible code experts found the words “Great earthquake” encoded with “China.” China was the scene of the worst earthquake in world history, the 1976 cataclysm that killed 800,000 Chinese. That year, “5736,” crosses “earthquake” right above “China.” It appears three times with “great earthquake.” Some Bible code researchers believe that major Earthquakes are coming for China sometime within the near future.

Bible code researchers have found the words earthquake and Israel.  Israel, which has not suffered a major earthquake this century, is the place most prominently stated in the plain text of the Bible. Ezekiel openly predicts “a great earthquake in the land of Israel.” “Israel” also appears four times with “great earthquake” in the Bible code, but Israel appears so often in the Bible that there is no way to calculate the mathematical significance. Israel is, however, located on what may be the world’s greatest fault line, the Red Sea rift that in pre-historical times shifted so violently it separated Africa from Asia.

The one country most likely in danger of a massive earthquake, according to the Bible code, is Japan. Japan will suffer a series of major earthquakes in the coming years. Recent English Bible and Hebrew Codes reveal a giant earthquake could hit Tokyo Japan sometime in the near future. Likewise, dream interpreter and prophecy teacher John Paul Jackson says another massive earthquake will strike Japan sometime in the near future and 7 million Japanese will die. He believes the eruption of Mount Fuji will be associated with this massive earthquake in Japan. Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan, it rises to 12,388 ft (3,776 m) near the Pacific coast in central Honshu. Mount Fuji, with its graceful volcanic cone (dormant since 1707), has become famous internationally. It is considered a sacred symbol of Japan, and thousands of Japanese climb to the shrine on its peak every summer. The mountain is the major feature of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, created in 1936. For many code researchers, “Japan” is also the country most clearly encoded with a future “great earthquake.” Again, there is no way to know if the stated danger is real. However, there seems to be an apocalyptic urgency in the Bible Code to warn the Japanese people about their near future.

While many Bible code experts only believe the Bible codes show a possible future, if these codes are correct, then the next few years will be very dramatic and apocalyptic for North America, Japan, Israel, and the world. Many times God’s judgment or visitation is described using the imagery of an earthquake and is often seen as a sign of the end of time. Many times an earthquake is a sign of God’s presence or of God’s revelation of Himself. At times the whole universe is described as being shaken by God. Even though earthquakes were usually seen as things to escape, they could be used by God for good purposes. The earth quaked in revulsion at the death of Messiah Yeshua, and the earth quaked to move the stone from Yeshua’s tomb. Those who love God and are faithful to Him have no need to fear the trembling of the earth.

The Rapture describes a supernatural event that will take place sometime in the near future. Messiah Yeshua will come in the air, catch up His Church from the Earth, and then return to His dwelling place somewhere in heaven with the Church. Saint Paul gave a clear description of the Rapture event in his letters to the Thessalonians and Corinthians. The most controversial aspect of the Rapture event is its timing. Some Biblical eschatology experts place the Rapture at the end of the Seven Year Tribulation, thus making it one and the same event as the Second Coming. Other Biblical scholars place it in the middle of the Tribulation. Still other prophecy teachers believe that it will occur sometime before the Seven Year Tribulation.

The reason for these differing perspectives is that the precise time of the Rapture is not clearly revealed in God’s Holy Scriptures. The timing of the Rapture is only inferred. There is, therefore, room for honest debate and differences in eschatological interpretations. However, lines of fellowship should never be drawn over differences regarding various Rapture viewpoints, even though the Rapture is an extremely important issue in Biblical prophecy.

The Biblical eschatology experts who place the Rapture at the end of the Tribulation usually base their arguments on two parables in Matthew 13 and on Messiah Yeshua’s Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24. In Matthew 24 Yeshua portrays His gathering of the saints as an event that will take place “immediately after the tribulation of those days” (Matthew 24:29). This passage certainly sounds like a post-Tribulation Rapture. However, we must remember that Matthew’s Gospel was written to the first century Jewish community living in Israel; therefore, the recording of Yeshua’s speech by Matthew has a distinctive Jewish perspective to it when compared with Luke’s record of the same speech.

We notice that Matthew’s references to Judea and to Jewish law regarding travel on the Sabbath (Matthew 24:15-20 NKJV) are all omitted in Luke’s account. Rather, Luke mentions the saints looking up for deliverance “to escape all these things” when the end time signs “begin to take place” (Luke 21:28-36 NKJV). The saints in Matthew are instructed to flee from Judea and hide. The saints in Luke are told to look up for deliverance.

Matthew and Luke are speaking of two different groups of saints. The saints in Matthew’s account are the Jews who receive Yeshua as their Messiah during the Tribulation. However, the saints in Luke are those who receive Messiah Yeshua before the Tribulation begins. Many people who accept Yeshua during the Tribulation will be martyred, according to Revelation 7:9-14 NKJV. The believers who are alive at the end of the Tribulation will be gathered by angels of the Lord, according to Matthew 24:31 NKJV.

The parable of the wheat and tares (Matthew 13:24-30 NKJV) and the parable of the dragnet (Matthew 13:47-50) should be explained in the same manner. They refer to a separation of saints and sinners that will take place during the end of the Tribulations years. The saints are believers who embrace Messiah Yeshua as their Lord and Savior during the Tribulation (Both Jew and Gentile) and who live to the end of that awful period.

There are variations of the mid-Tribulation Rapture arguments. The most common argument is that the Church will be taken out in the exact middle of the Tribulation at the point in time when the Anti-Messiah is revealed worldwide.  This Rapture argument is based upon a statement in I Corinthians 15:52, which says that the Rapture will occur during the blowing of “the last trumpet.” This trumpet is then identified with the seventh trumpet of the trumpet judgments mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Because the blowing of the seventh trumpet is recorded in Revelation 11, the mid-point of the Tribulation, the conclusion is that the Rapture must occur in middle of the Tribulation.

However, there are two problems with this interpretation. The first is that the last trumpet of 1 Corinthians 15 is blown for believers only whereas the seven trumpets of Revelation chapters 8, 9, and 11 are sounded for unbelievers.  The trumpets mentioned in Revelation have no relevance for the Church. The last trumpet of 1 Corinthians 15 is a trumpet for the righteous. The trumpet of Revelation 11:15 will sound for the unrighteous Earth dwellers.

Revelation 11:15 is really a flash forward vision describing the end of the Tribulation. Flash forward visions are very common in the Book of Revelation. They often occur when something terrible is mentioned to assure the reader that everything will eventually be OK when Yeshua returns at the end of the Tribulation. Therefore, the eighth and ninth chapters of Revelation, which describe the apocalyptic horrors of the trumpet judgments, are all followed by a flash forward vision in chapter 10 that pictures the return of Yeshua in victory at the end of the Tribulation. The mid-tribulation events resume in chapter 11 with the description of the killing of the two prophets of God (Moses and Elijah) by the Anti-Messiah. Following this crime, readers are presented with another flash forward vision, which begins in verse 15. The seventh trumpet is sounded and we find ourselves propelled forward to end of the Tribulation when the “Kingdom of the world becomes the kingdom of our Lord.”

The point is that the seventh trumpet of Revelation 11:15 relates to the end of the Tribulation and not the middle. It is the same trumpet that is referred to in Matthew 24:31, which is the trumpet that will be blown to announce the Second Coming of Messiah Yeshua.  Thus, the seventh trumpet mentioned in Revelation 11:15 and Matthew 24:31 is simply not the same trumpet describe in 1 Corinthians 15:52, Revelation 4:1, and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.

A variation of the mid-Tribulation Rapture theory is the pre-wrath Rapture concept that places the rapture at the beginning of the last quarter of the Tribulation, about five and a half years into the Tribulation.  The argument for this view is that the Church is promised protection only from the wrath of God and not from the wrath of Satan. It is argued that only the bowl judgments in the last quarter of the Tribulation (Revelation 16) represent the wrath of God.   However, this argument collapse quickly when we consider two facts. First, it is Yeshua Himself who breaks the seals that launch each of the seal judgments recorded in Revelation chapter 6.  Second, the seven angels who blow the trumpets that initiate each of the trumpet judgments are given their trumpets in the throne room of God, according to Revelation 8:2 NKJV.

All 21 judgments described in the Book of Revelation are clearly superintended by God. That is the reason why we are told in Revelations 15:1 that the bowl judgments at the end of the Tribulation will finish the wrath of God, not begin His wrath.

Some prophecy teachers believe the best inference of Scripture is that the Rapture will occur sometime before the beginning of the Tribulation. The most significant explanation for why they believe this theory has to do with the issue of imminence. Within God’s Holy Scriptures, we are told to watch for the appearing of the Lord. We are warned by Messiah Yeshua “to be ready” (Matthew 24: 44 NKJV), “to be on alert” (Matthew 24:42 NKJV), “to be dressed in readiness” (Luke 12:35 NKJV). Yeshua warns believers against date setting when He said “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only” (Matthew 24:36 NKJV). He warns believers again when He said “watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 25:13). Thus, the clear reason for these persistent warnings is that Messiah Yeshua can appear at any moment. This means that only the pre-Tribulation Rapture theory allows for the imminence of the Lord’s majestic appearing for His Church. When the Rapture is placed at any other point in time, the imminence of the Lord’s appearing is destroyed because other prophetic events must happen first.

The Rapture describes a magnificent supernatural event, which God has promised to all members of His Church.  This promise says that someday within the near future, when the majestic trumpet of God is blowing during the awesome shout of an archangel, Yeshua will appear in the sky and transport believers in His Church, both living and dead, to His dwelling place in Heaven.

The term, Rapture, originates from the Latin word, RAPIO, and this word means to catch up, to snatch away, or to take out suddenly. This word Rapture is also a translation of the Greek word, HARPAZO. This means the word RAPTURE is a Biblical word that originates from the Latin Vulgate and Greek translations of the Holy Bible. The word is found in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.  In the New American Standard Version, New King James Version, and New International Version, the English phrase, “caught up,” is employed.

The Rapture concept was not revealed to the Old Testament Hebrew prophets because it is a promise to the New Testament Christian Church and not to God’s saints who lived before the Christian Church Age. Yeshua will return as a bridegroom for His bride, and His bride will only include Church Age saints.  The saints mentioned in the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures will be resurrected at the conclusion of the seven year Tribulation period and not either before or during the Rapture of Christian believers. The prophet Daniel reveals this future history when he wrote: “At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.” (Daniel 12:1-3 NKJV).

The first clear mention of the Rapture in God’s Holy Scriptures originates from the words of Messiah Yeshua when He said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” (John 14:1-4 NKJV).

The most detailed revelation of the actual Rapture event is given by Paul when he wrote: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NKJV).

Paul mentions the Rapture event again when he wrote: “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” (1 Corinthians 15:50-54 NKJV).

Paul mentions the timing of the Rapture when he wrote: “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 NKJV).  This passage confirms that the Rapture event occurs before  the Anti-Messiah is revealed worldwide. The English words for FALLING AWAY were originally translated DEPARTURE AWAY in early English Bible versions, according to Dr. Grant Jeffrey.  Therefore, after the great departure of believers occur, then the Anti-Messiah will be revealed to the world.

These Biblical passages teach that the shout of an archangel and the blowing of God’s trumpet will signal the sudden and dramatic appearance of Messiah Yeshua in the heavens. The dead in Messiah Yeshua will be resurrected and they will rise up to meet Yeshua in the sky. Then, the believers who are alive will be “caught up” to the Lord. Paul concludes his breathtaking description of the Rapture event with “comfort one another with these words.” The Rapture will be the most comforting experience for all believers in Messiah Yeshua because we will all receive a supernatural immortal body and we will never experience sickness and death again as we spend eternity with Messiah Yeshua.

The Rapture event is a Christian term used to describe the coming ascension of Christians at the time of Messiah’s second coming. This is the noun corresponding to the verb used in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, where those believers who are still alive at the coming of Messiah are described as being “caught up” together with their resurrected fellow Christians to meet him “in the air.” This same verb used in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 is used in 2 Corinthians 12:2-3 to denote Paul’s mysterious experience of being “caught up” into the third heaven, or paradise. There are differences of interpretation about the timing of the Rapture at the time of Messiah’s second coming in relation to other end-time events. This has led to the emergence of distinct schools of eschatological thought . Today more believers are teaching that the Church will be in the Tribulation. However, This author believes the pre-Tribulation rapture theory is the best explanation for the destiny of God’s Church for several reasons.

First, the Tribulation comes after the great rebellion or falling away.  According to 2 Thessalonians 2:3, “For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.” The words that day refers to the Seven Year Tribulation when the Anti-Messiah rules the world just after the rapture of believers in Messiah Yeshua. Furthermore, a few prophecy scholars point out that  the Day of the Lord (Tribulation) comes after the GREAT DEPARTURE, which has been incorrectly translated as falling away in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. At least seven early English translations of this Greek rapture passage always used DEPARTURE AWAY rather than FALLING AWAY. For example 2 Thessalonians 2:3 says:  “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling (DEPARTURE) away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” This rapture passage demonstrates that the rapture must occur before the Anti-Messiah is revealed at the beginning of the seven year tribulation, according to Dr. Grant Jeffrey.

Second, the seventh trumpet in Revelation 11:15 comes from the trumpet of an Angel and not the trumpet of God. During the rapture event, God’s voice will sound like a majestic Trumpet, according to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and Revelation 4:1.  For example St Paul says: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with THE TRUMPET OF GOD. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” The voice of God will sound like a trumpet during the rapture, according to Dr. Gary Stearman.

Third, Messiah Yeshua says the tribulation will be like the days of Noah. For example Matthew 24:37-40 says: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matthew 24:37-40). The PROPHET ENOCH WAS RAPTURED to Heaven before the great flood of Noah arrived (Genesis 5:20-21). Enoch represents a type of Church Saint, while Noah represents a type of tribulation Saint.  Enoch was pre-flood, bur Noah was preserved through the flood. Therefore, this type shows the rapture must be a pre-tribulation event, according to Dr. Chuck Missler.

Fourth, Messiah’s Church is not mentioned as existing on Earth after Revelation 4:1 because the Church has been raptured to Heaven by Yeshua. For example Revelation 4:1 says: “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was LIKE A TRUMPET SPEAKING WITH ME, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” We only see the Church again in Revelation 19 when Messiah Yeshua descends down to conquer the enemies of Israel. For example Revelation 19:11-16 says: “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had  a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.  Now out of His mouth goes a sharp[g] sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” This passage reveals that the Church was taken out of Earth and it returns with Messiah during the war of Armageddon, according to Dr. Thomas Ice.

Fifth, all 21 judgments originate from the Throne Room of God in Heaven. The seven seals judgments described in Revelation 6, Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. The seven trumpets are described in Revelation chapters 8 to 15.  The seven bowls are described in Revelation 16.   This means that all 21 judgments are part of the wrath of God because they originate from the Throne Room of God, according to Dr. David Reagan.

Sixth, the teaching of the pre-tribulation rapture is not new because it was taught by St. Paul in the first century AD (1-thessalonians 4:16, 2 Thessalonians 2:3, and 1-Corinthians 15:50-55) and by Ephraim the Syrian in 373 AD. For example Ephraim says: “For all the saints and the elect of God are gathered prior to the Tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sin.”

Finally, as we approach the last years of human history and we come near the seven year tribulation days, many believers and non-believers will attack the pre-tribulation rapture teaching because it is too supernatural. Many believers fail to understand that it will take some time before the anti-Messiah arrives on the scene. The global government needs to form (Daniel 2 and 7; Revelation 18) and the global religious system needs to form (revelation 17). The Obadiah 1:15-21, Psalm 83, and Isaiah 17:1 wars needs to be fulfilled and later the Gog and Magog war (Ezekiel 38 and 39). After the rapture event, the fallen ones will reveal themselves to humanity and the days of Noah will return to Earth when hybrid humans and animals occupy the land. It will probably take another 10 to 20 years for all these things to happen. Therefore, the rapture can occur at any moment, but there are signs leading up to the Seven Year Tribulation period.

“For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done (To Israel), it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.” (OBADIAH 1:15 KJV).

The Times of Israel and other sources are now reporting that EU officials are preparing a far reaching list of sanctions that can be imposed against Israel whenever the EU’s political leadership decides to proceed with efforts to economically devastate the small but heavily trade-dependent Jewish state.” Even as details of the latest ISIS plot to behead innocents on the streets of London emerges, the machinery of the European Union’s massive bureaucracy is well along its plan to impose crippling economic and cultural sanctions on Israel if the Jewish state does not agree to unilaterally withdraw behind the 1949 Armistice lines,” according to Thomas Rose.

Because of these actions by European leaders, the Most High God is about to crush Europe. This situation is terrifying to see because of what the judgments will be when God smashes the Europeans. The Europeans are facing the destruction of their economy along with a militant Islamic uprising. Death and destruction will be unleashed throughout Europe.

Today, we are reaching the end game in Europe because if they don’t launch real QE soon, the consequences are too awful to contemplate,’ warns RBS, according to the Telegraph. The European Union is on the brink of economic collapse when it is set to economically boycott Israel. This is no coincidence because the God of Israel’s judgments are set in motion, but these judgments can only be stopped if the Europeans repent over their anti-Jewish economic agenda. If Europe moves to economically destroy Israel, then God will economically destroy Europe.

A few eschatology experts believe that the world has entered into a season of financial judgment with the Holy God of Israel. There is no doubt that the United States of America is under economic judgment, but greater crushing financial judgment is about to overtake the Europeans. The European Union is aggressively against Israel because their Jew hating seems to be in many of the Europeans’ DNA. They are now following the path of Hitler’s Germany in the 1930s and 1940s, but this time it is the Hard Left united with the Islamic militants that are leading the charge against the Jewish community.  Europe right now is on the verge of an economic meltdown at the very time the EU is trying to economically bring down the nation of Israel. God is about to apply Obadiah 1:15  and Genesis 12:3 to the Europeans. Prophecy analysts believe there is coming a massive uprising of Islamic militants throughout Europe. Islamic militants will unite with ISIS and shed incredible blood throughout Europe.

There really is no hope for many Europeans because they have rejected the Judeo-Christian God of the Holy Scriptures and they have embraced the false gods of atheism, agnosticism,  paganism, and militant Islam. The Islamic militants  in Europe will be directly judged for rejecting Messiah Yeshua and His Holy Scriptures. Because they do not want the Judeo-Christian God, they will receive Allah and all the horrors that accompany him, including Sharia Law. A few eschatology experts believe that Europeans have ran out of time and now they must face the righteous judgment directly from the Most High God..

There exists an ancient mystery in which is hidden the secret of America’s future. This mystery lies behind everything from the 9/11 attacks, to the War in Iraq, to the American housing bubble and its bursting, to the crash of Wall Street and the global economy, to the Great Recession and much more, even the President of the United States, according to eschatology expert and biblical scholar Rabbi Jonathan Cahn.

Before God judges a nation, He sends warning. He sent warning to ancient Israel. He even allowed its enemies to breach its borders in a devastating strike that would traumatize the nation. It was a wake-up call, the call to return to God. But the nation responded with defiance. God then gave Nine Harbingers of Judgment, nine prophetic signs, alarms, and foreshadows of what was to come. Now America is the nation in rapid departure from God’s will. And God has likewise allowed an enemy to breach its borders in a devastating strike, the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. It was, likewise, a wake-up call. But America, like Israel, has not responded with repentance but with defiance. And now the Nine Harbingers of Judgment have reappeared and have done so on American soil. Four harbingers have manifested at Ground Zero, two harbingers in Washington, D.C., and several involving the highest of American leaders, each harbinger containing a prophetic message and warning.

As the dust settled on ancient Israel after the first attack and calamity, the nation’s leaders uttered a specific series of words. The words formed a vow of defiance (read Isaiah 9:10). It would seal their fate. It would declare that they would not repent before God, but would defy Him instead. It was the Ninth Harbinger. It would seal their fate as a nation and lead to their destruction. The Ninth Harbinger now manifested in America on the very morning after September 11th. It happened in Washington, D.C. On that day, from Capitol Hill, out of the mouth of the Senate Majority Leader, proceeded the exact same words uttered by the leaders of ancient Israel 2,500 years before, in the last days of that nation’s judgment (Isaiah 9:10). Having no idea what he was doing, the Majority Leader was declaring America as under the judgment of God. It was the reenactment of an ancient mystery, and bore the most grave of consequences.

According to the ancient mystery revealed in the Book of Isaiah, if after that first calamity and warning, the nation doesn’t return to God but responds in defiance, it will end up triggering a second calamity. It was because of this ancient key, that, seven years after 9/11, the American economy collapsed. In the days after 9/11, the Federal Reserve slashed the base interest rate in an attempt to defy the consequences of the attacks. That action put us on the path leading to the collapse of the American economy seven years later. In 2008, the government made a second fatal mistake, another ill-fated financial decision, which would trigger the collapse of the American economy. Amazingly, it took place on the seventh anniversary of the uttering of the ancient vow on Capitol Hill.

As the prophets gazed out at the ruins of ancient Israel, they realized that there was a mystery to the timing of God’s judgment. That mystery centered on the biblical Shemitah. Every seventh year, the Shemitah, or Sabbath Year, would cause the land to rest, when sowing and reaping, buying and selling, would come to a standstill. The Shemitah was unique in that it specifically affected the nation’s economic and financial realms, wiping out all accounts of credit and debt. For the nation that departs from God, the Shemitah becomes a sign of judgment. The year of Shemitah reaches its culmination on the last day of the Hebrew year. In September of 2008 came the greatest stock market point crash in American history. This event happened on the biblical day of the Shemitah, the very day when credit and debt, the accounts of the financial realm, are wiped away. Seven years earlier was the second largest crash in American history, it was the one caused by 9/11. The crash took place on the day of the Shemitah. Thus the two greatest financial collapses in American history both happened on the exact same Hebrew day — the day of the Shemitah, the sign of a nation departed from God. And the night after each of America’s stock market crashes came the Feast of Trumpets, the sounding of the shofar, the other biblical sign of judgment.

When judgment came to Israel, the calamity returned the people’s attention to the place where the nation had been consecrated to God, the Temple Mount. God was calling the nation back to Himself. What about 9/11? Could there be, in the American calamity, as well, a mystery of return? Could there be a prophetic message hidden in the place where it happened? There is a place, where America was consecrated to God in prayer. It is also a place linked to a prophetic warning given on that same day, uttered by the nation’s first President, now coming to pass. The place is Ground Zero. In 1789, newly inaugurated President, George Washington, gave a prophetic warning at Federal Hall in New York City. He declared that America’s prosperity and protection were dependent upon its adherence to God. Later, the political leaders of this young nation gathered at St. Paul’s Chapel to commit the nation’s future to God’s purposes. That Chapel is located at Ground Zero and survived 9/11 virtually unscathed.

Within the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures, eschatology experts see a specific seven-year pattern and progression of God’s blessings and judgments on ancient Israel. God meant this pattern to be a blessing, but because of Israel’s disobedience, it turned into a curse. This same pattern is progressing rapidly in America! We see it in 2001 and 2008. What will happen based on these biblical patterns in 2015? Many prophecy teachers believe another major economic collapse will occur during the next Shemitah year beginning in 25 September 2014 and ending in 13 September 2015.

The Shemitah is an ancient biblical mystery. It goes back to the time Moses on Mount Sinai (1450 BC). This biblical mystery explains the attacks on 11 September 2001, the rise and fall of world economies, and the rise and fall of nations. This biblical mystery has bearing on the First World War, the Second World War, the wars occurring today, and the wars that will happen tomorrow. The Shemitah is a precise and mind-boggling biblical mystery and it is in operation today, according to some eschatology experts and biblical scholars.

The shemitah years describes a period of blessing and judgments. As soon as the Jews settled in the Holy Land, they began to count and observe seven-year cycles. Every cycle would culminate in a Sabbatical year, known as “Shemitah,”which means to release blessing or judgments. The year following the destruction of the second Holy Temple was the first year of the seven-year Sabbatical cycle. In the Jewish calendar, counting from Creation, this was year 3829, 68-69 of the Christian Era (CE) in the secular calendar. By counting sevens from then, we see that the next shemitah year will be the year 5775 after Creation, which runs from 25 September 2014 through 13 September 2015.

The Shemitah year is described in Leviticus 25:1-7 where Moses says every seventh year the land needs to lay uncultivated and the Lord will provide in the sixth year and the people will have enough. That was an important Sabbath year law and Israel spent 70 years in captivity in Babylon because they had not kept this law for 490 years. According to some eschatology experts, in America the judgment of violating the Shemitah year is not connected to the land of Israel, but to America’s national disobedience of God’s Word. For example, there was a Shemitah year in 2001 when the 9/11 attacks occurred and in 2008 when the stock market adjustment happened.  The next shemitah year will be in 2015, which corresponds to the tetrad of blood moons beginning in 2014 and ending in 2015. A few eschatology experts believe that war will erupt in the Middle East, while the U.S. economy takes another deep dive nearing complete collapse. However, other prophecy experts believe the U.S. economy will not collapse because Saudi Arabia and China will never allow America’s economy to fall. These countries have too much invested in the U.S. economy. These scholars argue that the Shemitah year only applies to Israel, not to America or any other nation.

The Shemitah means to release, to fall or collapse, and to shake in Hebrew. On Mount Sinai, God gave this law to Israel. Every seventh year the Israelites should have a Sabbath year, which is a year of rest. That rest was called the Shemitah. There was no sowing, no reaping of the land. On the last day of the Shemitah, the day is called Elul 29 on the biblical Hebrew calendar. When that last day arrived, all credit is wiped away, all debt is wiped away. The financial accounts of the nation are wiped clean because this day was to be a blessing. However, when Israel turned against God, the Shemitah comes back as a sign of judgment on a nation that is driving God out of its life. This history reveals why the Shemitah is affecting America today. The Shemitah begins affecting the economy right away. Today it will be an economic recession and tomorrow it could be a financial depression.

Within the past 40 years of America’s financial history, there were five great turning points or long term economic recessions. The first great financial recession began in 1973. The Second was in 1980. The third was in 1987. The fourth occurred in 2000 and fifth happened in 2007. All these economic recessions were separated by a seven-year period. All of these financial recessions were linked to the Shemitah years.  These recessions happened according to the appointed times revealed in the Holy Scriptures. When we analyze the greatest crashes in history, we discover that they were linked to the year of the Shemitah. The third greatest crash in history occurred during a Shemitah year, which happened in 1937 to 1938. When that Shemitah year began, the next day Wall Street collapses. The great recession in 2007 and 2008 began on the Shemitah year of Elul 29 when the whole stock market collapses. This is mindboggling.

The Mystery of the Towers reveals another link to the Shemitah. The rising of the highest towers in the world actually mark the rising of nations and powers. Since the Middle Ages the highest towers were in Europe, the center of power was Europe. However, a change took place in about 1870, when the greatest tower began rising in a new land called America. In the 1870s, America becomes the strongest economic power on Earth. The mantel goes from Britain to America. Thus, the rise of the tower actually marks it. From then on, America builds the highest towers on Earth as its power grows in the late 19th and 20th centuries.

When the Second World War concluded, American power was at its height and there was a plan to build a new tower to represent America’s greatness.  The tower was the World Trade Center. The year 1945 was the year of the Shemitah and when the building of tower was conceived, the World Trade Center. America began building this tower in 1966, the year of the Shemitah. The Towers were finished in 1973, the year of the Shemitah. And then finally, 2001, it is destroyed in the year of the Shemitah. The Towers represent the rising of American power and their destruction symbolizes the decline of America’s power.  The Shemitah is about falling. It actually means “let it fall”. The tower is about the glory of man. The Shemitah is about humbling the pride of man or the pride of a nation. Furthermore, the tower that’s rising now in New York City was conceived in the year of the Shemitah. This tower represents America’s vow of defiance against the Most High God. And this tower will probably be completed in the year of the Shemitah.

The Shemitah gives the key about when nations rise and fall, and its mystery is revealed in American history. The Shemitah is linked to the rise and fall of nations. In 1917, we have the year of the Shemitah. We see a collapse on Wall Street and a shaking of the nations during the First World War. Because the Shemitah is connected to collapsing of nations, during that war, we see the fall of powers and the collapse of four empires. The empires of Germany, Hungary, Russia, and Ottoman all collapse in the year linked to the Shemitah.

Because the Shemitah is linked to the rise of nations, the year 1917 is the period that begins America’s rise as the new world power on the stage when the U.S. enters the First World War. When we analyze the Second World War, we see another global cataclysm.  Hitler’s attacks began in 1938, the year of the Shemitah. The Holocaust, Kristallnacht, it is noted as 1938, as the faithful year, year of the Shemitah, and it ends 1945, the year of the Shemitah.  When we reach the peak of the Shemitah, we also get the peak of the Second World War, summer of 1945.  We approach the Shemitah’s day of nullifying things, the day of wiping out. Unleashed on the world is the greatest weapon in history of warfare, the atomic bomb, when nuclear warfare comes to Earth during the end of the Second World War.  This awful war ends in the last week of the Shemitah, concluding this violent seven-year period. The Second World War launches America as the super power of the world. Even the Cold War began during the year of the Shemitah.

However, in 1973, America decides to legalize the killing of unborn children, same sin, ancient Israel was judged for. The legalization of abortion is the same year that America begins losing its first war. Vietnam collapses on the same day. From this period onward, we begin to see setbacks in American power when the U.S. goes against the moral laws of the Most High God.

The next Shemitah year will determine America’s future destiny. This Shemitah year began on 25 September 2014 and it will end on 13 September 2015. God may decide to do nothing during this period, but most likely He will judge America because of this nation’s commitment to sexual immorality, its war against the unborn, and its declining relationship with Israel.  When the Shemitah begins, we will not notice it. However, as time passes by things will begin to happen in America and elsewhere worldwide revealing God’s judgment or blessing for nations.  The last two Shemitahs in America, we experienced major disasters.  In 2001, we had the great stock market collapse along with the 9/11 attacks and those events happened on the exact day appointed in the Bible, Elul 29, to wipe out the financial accounts. Seven years later, 2008, we experienced another great financial crash in American history and it happened on the exact same day, Elul 29. The two greatest crashes happen exactly seven Hebrew years apart down to the days, the hours, and to the seconds.

When we study the seventh Shemitah, which describes seven times seven years equaling 49 years, we will notice that it leads to the Jubilee equaling 50 years. The Jubilee is linked to the mystery of the Shemitah. Jubilee is about restoring, getting back the land, getting back the home, and restored inheritance. Well almost 2000 years ago, Israel lost its inheritance, lost the land. The restoration of Israel began in 1917 with a vow for declaration when the gentile nations gave portions of the land back to Israel. The year 1917 follows the year of the Shemitah in 1916. The 1917 was like a Jubilee year and it began the restoration of the land. When we travel seven Shemitahs into the future, we reach the year 1967, which is another jubilee year. This era began the restoration of Jerusalem following the Shemitah year in 1966. When we travel seven more Shemitahs into the future, we reach the year 2015. During this Shemitah year, there will likely be another global economic collapse or major recession, another prophetic war involving Israel, more terrorist attacks in North America and Europe, and more major natural disasters (earthquakes) worldwide. This Shemitah period will become a season of terror and dread for many people living in America and elsewhere worldwide. The year 2017 begins another jubilee year, which means a new era for America and the rest of the world. This year will also begin a new season of restoration for Israel where many Jews from Europe and America will begin their massive immigration to Israel because of growing global anti-Semitism.

Because America’s founding and history is very similar to the founding and history of ancient Israel, some prophecy experts believe the Shemitah years apply to America.  If the shemitah years apply to the U.S., then America will experience decline as a global power with decreasing influence worldwide. Within the next few months, events should transpire in America reflecting that the nation is under the increasing judgment of God. America’s power and influence will shift to Europe, China, and Russia, which is precisely what the Holy Scriptures reveal in the books of Daniel, Ezekiel, and Revelation.

Today, Sir Isaac Newton is famous for his scientific achievements. He redeveloped physics for the Western world during the 17th century. His discovery of the gravitational laws dominated physics before Einstein’s special and general relativity theory. Furthermore, Newton’s math and science accomplishments are employed for calculations of objects slower than the speed of light. Currently, math and science students worldwide learn about Newton’s gravitational laws; however, few of them are aware of his theology and eschatology. When we analyze Newton’s manuscripts, his religious papers, and his 2060 prediction, we discover that Newton was a deeply religious man of science. Before his death in 1727, Sir Isaac Newton, the famous physicist, concealed a prophetic script in one of his journals. This mysteriously coded script detailed crucial future events involving Israel and the return of Messiah Yeshua in the 21st century.

Sir Isaac Newton was one of the foremost scientific intellects of all time. However, many people do not know that he was also a formidable biblical scholar. Surprisingly, only 12 percent of Newton’s vast library contained books on the subjects of mathematics, physics and astronomy, the disciplines on which his scientific fame rests. This may shock some people, but the vast majority of the books in Newton’s library were on the subject of theology and eschatology. He believed that the Holy Scriptures are literally true in all of its details. Throughout his life, he continually tested biblical truth against the physical truths of experimental and theoretical science. He never observed a contradiction. In fact, he viewed his own scientific work as a method by which to reinforce belief in biblical truth.

Newton looked at the entire universe and all that is in it as a cryptogram set by the Almighty. A riddle that could be read simply by applying pure thought to certain evidence and clues that God had hidden throughout the universe. Newton sincerely believed that all would be revealed to him if only he could persevere to the end, uninterrupted, voyaging through God’s ocean of thought alone. “Newton had one final obsession which was solving the mysteries in Bible prophecy.

Newton assumed that by the same powers of his introspective imagination, he could solve the riddles of past and future events that he believed God encoded in the Bible, specifically in the books of Daniel and Revelation. To Newton’s mind, it was clear that some prophecies would not be understood until the end of history. The greatest physicist who ever lived, who worked out the mechanics of the solar system and the universe, spent the greater part of his lifetime attempting to treat the Bible as a source of scientific data. He truly believed that before he died, God would reveal to him the secrets of prophecy that were locked inside the Bible.

Newton sincerely believed that God had rewarded his lifetime of unwavering faithfulness by selecting him to be one of the chosen few mentioned in Daniel Chapter 12 to receive God’s prophetic insight. Newton started his message by quoting one of the most familiar verses found in Scriptures, Genesis Chapter 12 verse 3. It is here that God swore a solemn oath to bless any people or nation who blesses Abraham’s chosen descendants, the Jewish people, and to curse any people or nation who do harm or evil in any way to the Jewish people.

He then returns to the book of Daniel where things get really interesting. Newton understood from reading Daniel that there would come a future time when the Jews would return from their worldwide dispersion to the land promised to them by the God of Abraham. He also accepted the argument that each of the prophetic weeks described in Daniel Chapter 9 was numerically equivalent to seven-year periods. But Newton vehemently disagreed with the scholars when it came to the interpretation of the two separate periods of weeks quoted in Daniel Chapter 9 verse 25, “So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; Jerusalem will be built again, with a plaza and moat, even in times of distress.”

The vast majority of biblical scholars interpret this verse by simply adding the seven sevens and the sixty-two sevens to come up with 483 years, the timing of Messiah’s first coming. Sir Isaac differed completely with this logic. He concluded that the first seven weeks of years or the 49 years prophesied by Daniel were entirely separate from the remaining sixty-two weeks of years. Newton calculated that the prophetic time clock of Messiah’s second coming would take place the moment Jerusalem was once again in the hands of the Jews. Messiah’s return would take place 49 years after this future event. Newton also stressed that none of these events could ever take place by the hands of the Jews alone, but only through the assistance and protection of a friendly nation.

Next in Newton’s timeline, the Archangel Michael arises to do battle against the enemies of God’s chosen people. These enemies of Israel are all listed in both Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38. Along with two evil northern empires named in Ezekiel 38 as Gog and Magog, the entire confederation conspires together to carry out an evil plan to utterly destroy Israel and the Jewish people. At that time, the Jewish nation will find itself totally alienated and hopeless. They will at last cry out in dire desperation to their one and only true Messiah, Yeshua, and at last they will see their redemption. According to Newton’s interpretation, the hands of God’s prophetic clock started ticking the moment Israel’s army recaptured the city of Jerusalem in June of 1967. If a biblical generation is approximately 50 years in duration, then Messiah’s possible return to Earth will be either on or before the year 2017. However, if the final generation is roughly 100 years long, then Messiah’s likely return will be either on or before the year 2067.  According to many scholars who have researched Sir Isaac Newton’s religious writings, they are convinced that Newton believed that Messiah would return in the year 2060.

Many science historians enjoy highlighting Newton’s achievements in math and science as well as his fascination with alchemy. Secular academics often portrayed Newton as a pure rationalist devoid of any spirituality because they believe that no real scientist could have strong theistic views based upon biblical literalism. However, Newton’s biblical passion is clear throughout his documents, equaled by his hunger for analyzing the cosmos he believed God created, according to his literal interpretation of the Genesis creation account. Newton completely rejected the concept that religion and science could never mix. He appreciated God’s omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence in forming the physical universe, and in biblical inspiration. Therefore, if Newton was alive today he would embrace the science of intelligent design, he would be a teacher of biblical creationism, and he would reject the religious dogma of Darwinism.

The Day of the Lord is fast approaching. There is a supernatural connection between America and Israel. The End-Times prophecies are being played out before our eyes. God has been sending warning judgments when America pressures Israel to surrender her land for so-called peace. These warnings include devastating hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and more. The book of Obadiah reveals prophecies about nations being judged for their treatment of Israel as the Day of the Lord approaches, according to eschatology expert Dr. John Mc Ternan and others.

On 11 October 1987, we saw the turning point in God’s dealing with America. Sin began to openly manifesting itself, and God’s judgment on the America was matching it. There have been correlations between national sin and the greatest disasters in history hitting America. These disasters included Hurricane Andrew, the Northridge Earthquake, the attack on 11 September 2001, Hurricane Katrina, the stock market crash of 2008, and the massive Joplin tornado storm. All these events and many more happened while America was promoting the dividing of Israel, abortion or the homosexual agenda. God’s judgments, which began in the late 1980s, paralleled America’s rebellion and its turning from God to sin.

God next touched the abortion rebellion. On 15 October 1989, a huge pro-abortion rally took place in San Francisco. The San Francisco Chronicle reported: “Marching to a pounding drum and chanting, ‘Hear our voice we’re pro-choice,’ yesterday’s crowd gathered at City Hall after passing cheering supporters lined up along Market Street.” The center of the rally was City Hall where many pro-abortion politicians addressed the crowd. Just two days after this festive rally, celebrating the killing of innocent children in the womb, a powerful 7.1 earthquake struck near San Francisco. This quake actually hit during a World Series baseball game. The San Francisco Chronicle, reporting on the effect of the quake, said that City Hall was shaken so terribly that people fled the building screaming in terror. The very center of the festive, pro-abortion rally became, just two days later, a center of terror and fear.

God then touched America for trying to divide the land of Israel.  On 30 October 1991, President George H.W. Bush initiated the Madrid Peace Process. The object was for Israel to divide its land to create a Palestinian state in return for peace. This is a very serious violation of God’s Word about the land. On this very day, a super powerful storm in the North Atlantic came against the normal weather patterns and battered the East Coast. It became known as the Perfect Storm. This storm sent 30-foot waves against the President’s home in Kennebunkport, ME, and inflicted serious damage.

God was using catastrophic events to warn the nation of the collision course that it was on with His holiness. God always warns before judgment. God used Noah to warn for 120 years before the judgment. He used the prophets for 200 years before He judged the ancient Jewish people. Messiah Yeshua warned Israel of the coming destruction 40 years before it happened. Now once again, God was warning a nation before the final judgment. The warnings were directed at His people to repent before Him and cry out for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the church and nation. So far, very few in the church are listening.

When two national rebellious events occur simultaneously, the judgment becomes catastrophic. Hurricane Katrina is a prime example. To date, this hurricane has been the greatest natural disaster to hit America. Hurricane Katrina hit right around the time that America was forcing Israel to divide its land and at the time of a national homosexual event in New Orleans called Southern Decadence.

In 2005, President George W. Bush had pressured Israel to unilaterally pull out of 25 settlements, most of which were in Gaza. The last Israeli left Gaza on the 23rd of August, which was the very day that Katrina became a hurricane. A few days later on 28th of August, it slammed into New Orleans as a Category 3 hurricane and did catastrophic damage to the Gulf Coast. This was the same week as Southern Decadence, when up to 150,000 homosexuals flocked to New Orleans for real decadence in the streets. The homosexual event had to be cancelled.

Exactly seven years later to the day on 28 August 2012, Hurricane Isaac slammed into New Orleans during Southern Decadence. The hurricane caused tremendous damage to the area and cancelled Southern Decadence for several days. The homosexuals vowed to continue even with all the destruction around the city. The God of Israel has issued two clear warnings to New Orleans and America about open manifestations of homosexuality and rebellion in the cities of America. The sin of America, just like Sodom, now has the attention of the Lord, as it is offending His holiness. He is warning His church to pay attention.

In May 2011, God gave perhaps His clearest warning to America about dividing the land of Israel and touching Jerusalem. On May 19th and 22nd, President Barack Obama gave speeches outlining the United States policy regarding the borders of Israel. The position was that Israel had to pull back to its pre-1967 borders. This meant making Israel defenseless and dividing Jerusalem. During the 19th of May speech, there was record flooding as the Mississippi River overflowed its banks and flooded millions of acres of farmland. On 22nd of May, President Obama again made the same speech and a mere seven hours after this speech Joplin, Missouri was struck by a tornado that destroyed much of the city. It actually cut the city in half just as President Obama was trying to isolate Israel.

Obama told Israel that it was on its own in fighting Iran. This was after the President had publicly stated many times that he would always be there to defend Israel. On September 11th, he also refused to meet with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when Netanyahu came to the United States. He abandoned Israel and then humiliated the Prime Minister. On this day Muslim terrorists attacked the U.S. Embassy in Egypt and consulate in Libya killing the ambassador to Libya and also destroying the U.S. compound. In Egypt they overran the Embassy and tore down the American flag replacing it with the Muslim Brotherhood flag and shouting, “Allah Akbar.” On the same day, Moody’s threatened to downgrade the U.S. credit rating very soon if the national debt was not brought under control. On the very day that President Obama turned his back on Israel the U.S. was attacked by Muslim terrorists who killed the U.S. ambassador. This is a perfect example showing that what America does to Israel comes directly back on America. This one was to the same day.

These past judgments show that each presidential election has enormous consequences since the President’s treatment of Israel can bring a blessing or curse on the nation. According to Dr. John Mc Ternan, when American Presidents pursue policies that divide Israel, promote sexual immorality, and facilitate abortions, then their actions brings direct  judgment on the United States of America. Americans have been electing such Presidents and the nation has suffered from the curses. God is holy and we must walk in the fear of Him. This means we must realize that He will destroy America for the road of rebellion the nation is on. Because the Most High God never changes, we must change. Our only hope is to intercede and cry out to the Lord for mercy and an outpouring of His Holy Spirit.
