WHO WROTE THE BOOK OF GENESIS?

Antiquated Hebrew and Christian conventions say that Moses, guided by God, formed Genesis from early pre-flood and post-flood archives (probably preserved stone or clay tablets transported onboard Noah’s Ark) that were at that point in presence in his day. The book of Genesis closes around 300 years before Moses. Moses could have gotten this data just by coordinate divine revelation, or through such verifiable records as had been given down from his ancestors.

BOOK OF GENESIS ORGANIZATION

The book starts with the creation week, taken after by 10 “accounts”, which constitute the structure of Genesis. It appears that they were consolidated real by Moses, with such increments and clarifications as he may have been guided by God to make. These 11 archives (probably stone tablets) are as per the following:

(1) Creation Week (Gen. 1:1– 2:3).

(2) The record of “the HEAVENS and the EARTH (universe) when they were made” (Gen. 2:4– 4:26).

(3) The record of Adam’s line (Gen. 5:1– 6:8).

(4) The record of Noah (Gen. 6:9– 9:28).

(5) The record of “Shem, Ham and Japheth, Noah’s children” (Gen. 10:1– 11:9).

(6) The record of Shem (Gen. 11:10– 26).

(7) The record of Terah (Gen. 11:27– 25:11).

(8) The record of “Abraham’s child Ishmael, whom Sarah’s maidservant, Hagar the Egyptian, bore to Abraham.” (Gen. 25:12– 18).

(9) The record of “Abraham’s child Isaac” (Gen. 25:19– 35:29).

(10) The record of “Esau (that is, Edom)” (Gen. 36:1– 43).

(11) The record of Jacob (Gen. 37:2– 50:26).

These 11 records shape the book of Genesis. The initial six records cover the period from creation until around 2000 B.C. (Genesis 1– 11). The last five records cover the life of Abraham and the three ages after him, from around 2000 B.C. until around 1800 B.C. The book starts with the creation and the first people in the Garden of Eden. It closes with Abraham’s relatives in Egypt. Between the finish of Genesis and the start of the following book, Exodus, is a hole of around 400 a long time.

THE CREATION WEEK

The Genesis Creation Week is an awesome depiction and glorious development of the progressive strides of creation, cast in the shape of the oft-repeating scriptural number seven. In all writing, logical or something else, there is not any more grand record of the cause of things. The creation week was utilized by Moses, yet composed, almost certainly, sometime before. Writing was invented generations before the times of Moses. Besides, some of God’s laws were in presence in the times of Abraham, 600 years before Moses (Genesis 26:5). How did the writer realize what happened before man showed up? Most likely God uncovered the remote past, as later the inaccessible future was made known to the prophets. God Himself probably revealed this creation history to Adam, and Adam later retold this history to his immediate descendants. God probably told this creation history again to Enoch the prophet. Eventually, this creation history proliferated verbally throughout the pre-flood and early post-flood populations. T

he creation week might have been recounted by many succeeding conversations, around the family circle a great many generations, until writing was invented. God Himself at that point watched its transmission until at long last it discovered its expected purpose as the opening explanation in the awesome Book of the Genesis.
