Dr. Bill Salus is known for his interpretations of biblical prophecies concerning end-times scenarios, focusing particularly on how current events align with biblical texts. In his book “The Future War Prophecies,” Salus discusses several key future wars that he believes are prophesied in the Bible.  The major arguments and wars he discusses in the following.  In “Psalm 83 War”,  Salus argues that a coalition of nations surrounding Israel will unite to try to destroy Israel, as outlined in Psalm 83. This coalition is believed to include countries like Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and the Palestinian territories. Salus suggests that this conflict will result in a decisive victory for Israel, leading to significant geopolitical changes in the Middle East.

In “Ezekiel 38-39 War” (Gog and Magog), Salus discusses this well-known prophecy, which predicts an invasion of Israel by a coalition led by “Gog,” traditionally identified with Russia, and including other nations such as Iran, Turkey, and several others from the north of Israel. According to Salus, this war will happen after the Psalm 83 war, and it will end supernaturally with divine intervention, showcasing God’s protection of Israel. In “Destruction of Damascus” (Isaiah 17), Salus interprets Isaiah 17 as a prophecy that Damascus, the capital of Syria, will be completely

destroyed in a future conflict. He connects this prophecy potentially with the Psalm 83 war or other regional conflicts involving Israel.  In “The Rise of the Antichrist and Armageddon,”  Salus also ties these wars into the broader narrative of the end times, which includes the rise of the Antichrist and the final battle of Armageddon, as described in the Book of Revelation. This final global conflict will involve all nations of the earth and will culminate in the second coming of Christ.

As for the timing of these events, Salus, like many prophecy teachers, suggests that these wars could happen soon, given current global and Middle Eastern political tensions. However, he typically asserts that the exact timing cannot be known, as biblical prophecy often does not provide specific dates.
